RDA Consulting is committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in both its work and community outreach. In that vein, it is our pleasure to announce that we will be making a donation in honor of National Indigenous People’s Day to the Oakland-based organization, Native American Health Center.

NAHC is a nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center proudly serving California’s Bay Area Native Population and other underserved communities. Caring for the Bay Area since 1972, NAHC has worked at local, state, and federal levels to deliver resources and services for the urban Native community.

As an Urban Indian Health Project through their relationship with the Indian Health Service (IHS), they are dedicated to providing high quality medical, dental, behavioral health, community wellness, and social service programs. Congratulations to the Native American Health Center.

We are honored to support this wonderful organization and the important work they do as they celebrate 50 years of service to the Oakland Community. To learn more about NAHC, please visit https://www.nativehealth.org/.

Last year marked a pivotal moment in when President Biden proclaimed June 19, 2021 as Juneteenth Day of Observance. Last year, Resource Development Associates (RDA) revisited our roster of paid holidays, including both Juneteenth and Indigenous People’s Day. Additionally, RDA committed to making a yearly charitable contribution to an organization nominated by our staff.

This year, our staff nominated a number of outstanding organizations for consideration, including Black Cultural Zone, Black Voters Matter, the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce, The Sentencing Project, Youth Uprising, and urban university.

After careful consideration, our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee selected Oakland-based urban university as the inaugural recipient of our Juneteenth donation.

https://urbanuniv.org/

urban university is a 501c3 nonprofit working for the past 22 years to improve the socioeconomic status of economically vulnerable individuals by providing employability training, coaching and employment opportunities. Over the past 20 years, they have successfully delivered workforce development training and coaching services to prepare more than 1,600 low-income individuals for successful entry into the workforce.

Congratulations urban university, we are honored to support this critical work!
