**A HUGE THANK YOU to La Méditerranée Berkeley for putting their restaurant—and their resources—behind our community. ❤️**

On **Thursday, August 20**, La Méditerranée is donating **20% of all dine-in sales** to Hip Hop For The Future to help us bring **arts and culture to the San Francisco Pregnancy Family Village on September 12.**

This is what community partnership is supposed to look like.

The Pregnancy Family Village brings healthcare, doulas, mental health and wellness services, food and essentials, family support, and community resources together in one welcoming space for Black families. Hip Hop For The Future helps make sure **culture is in that space too.**

The money raised on August 20 will help us employ local **DJs, emcees, graffiti artists, and other cultural artists** to bring music, art, joy, and connection into the September 12 Village.

So first, **come eat.** Support a local restaurant that is choosing to invest back into community.

🎤 What does freedom sound like?

Come write it.

Next Saturday, Hip Hop For The Future is bringing Hip Hop culture to **Our Freedom: A Festival of Music & Movements** at the First Congregational Church of Oakland.

📝 Throughout the day, our team will be hosting a **Freedom Rap Lab** where anyone—whether you've written a rhyme before or not—can sit down with experienced Bay Area artists and learn how to write a rap about freedom.

🎧 DJ Infxnite will be providing the soundtrack while our artist-educators work one-on-one with community members to help transform ideas into lyrics.

🎤 Ready to share your voice? Anyone who creates a verse is invited to perform it during the activation.

Hip Hop has always been more than music. It's a language for telling the truth, imagining new futures, and reclaiming our voices.

📍 First Congregational Church of Oakland
2501 Harrison St., Oakland, CA

🗓 Saturday, July 11
⏰ 10:00 AM–8:00 PM

Come experience a full day of music, movement, workshops, healing, and community—and don't leave without writing something powerful.

Lastly, Everything Hip Hop For The Future brings to events like this—from paying local artists and DJs to creating spaces where our communities can gather—is made possible through grassroots support. If you believe artists deserve to be paid for building culture, become a monthly donor at HipHopForTheFuture.org.
