I use the word ex*****on specifically as these were state sanctioned and planned along with the fires and fear. Some white members of the City of Tulsa Oklahoma did not want black people in their Town nor did they want to see them succeed. So they executed them. There is a $105M private trust that the first Black Mayor of Tulsa created in 2025 to invest in affordable housing and homeownership, cultural and historic preservation, along with economic development and education as a path of repair. The city, who has blood on their hands, has only apologized to the Black community, residents and descendants of Greenwood also known as Black Wall Street. There is only one remaining survivor, Lessie Benningfield Randle, who is 111 years old. People are still living from these horrific days that changed lifetimes.
Image Description- A black background with white sans serif font that says: 105 years ago today the Tulsa Massacre ended. Still to this day not one person or group has been held accountable for the over 300 Black people executed between May 31-June 1, 1921.
