Product spotlight: From our shop to the jobsite.
As we move into the last quarter of the year, our shop has been busy with new fabrication projects and conveyor designs. One recent project: a mucking conveyor for a new customer, designed, built, and tested at our facility before being shipped. Mucking conveyors carry excavated rock, dirt, and debris away from mining and tunnel construction work.
Custom engineering starts with the application, not a standard equipment package. From the initial design through fabrication and testing, the focus is on translating operational requirements into equipment. This conveyor has now completed its journey through our shop and shipped to the customer. It’s a look at the work behind each finished project, before the equipment ever reaches the jobsite.

New customer. New fabrication challenge. Deadline met. 💪
West River Conveyors recently completed an overflow launder for a new customer in the gold mining industry. Fabricated to the customer’s design, the project consisted of two A36 carbon steel halves weighing approximately 2,550 pounds each. From rolling and forming to fit-up and welding, our team brought the design to life and completed the job on schedule. We’re proud of the finished product and grateful for the opportunity to earn a new customer’s trust.

Our team recently scanned, designed, and installed this chute for a Southeastern U.S. paper company. The new design solved the customer’s sealing issues by helping the material smoothly catch up with the belt’s travel and remain centered during the transfer.
The result: no spillage, no visible dust, proper alignment, and a clean, controlled material flow.
Most importantly, the chute is performing exactly as designed and the customer is happy!
From scanning and engineering to installation and start-up, West River Conveyors delivers solutions built around each customer’s specific operation.

Our future at Southern Gap is taking shape! We recently took some of our West River Conveyors management team through the new facility to see where the offices, works**ces, and manufacturing areas will be. Walking through together made it easier to picture these s**ces filled with our team, working and building alongside one another. Every step forward gives us more to look forward to! This new facility represents the hard work of our employees, room to grow, and an exciting next chapter for West River Conveyors.
We’re proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait for our entire team to call this facility home!

Progress update at Southern Gap!
Our new facility is continuing to take shape and it is exciting to see the plans we've been working on become a reality. This new facility will bring more of our operations together under one roof while giving us the s**ce and infrastructure to invest in new equipment, technology and automation.
There's still plenty of work ahead, but we're looking forward to sharing the progress along the way.

Thank you to Southern Gap High School for inviting West River Conveyors to the first Industry Luncheon! We appreciated the chance to talk with students about what we do and the career opportunities available here in Southwest Virginia. Strong careers start with early exposure, and we hope these conversations helped students see what is possible close to home. We will be back again soon!

On Sunday, we took time to celebrate something that matters at West River Conveyors: the people behind our work. Our annual company picnic brought together employees and their families for an afternoon of good food, fellowship and fun. It was a chance to recognize the teamwork that continues to move WRC forward. For more than 45 years, West River Conveyors has been built by people who show up, solve hard problems, and support one another. Events like this are a reminder that our success is not only measured by what we build, but by the strong team and families who stand behind it. Thank you to every employee and family member who helps make WRC what it is today. We are grateful for your hard work, your commitment, and the role you play in our continued success. Teamwork is what makes it all possible.
