When you work for someone, you exchange your time and effort for an income. If you don't work, you don't get paid. But what about the unexpected?
β‘οΈThe company fails and you're laid off
β‘οΈ You get sick
β‘οΈ You have an emergency in the family
β‘οΈ The company merged with someone else who brought in their own team and your position gets eliminated
Passive income is a type of income where you get paid repeatedly, REGARDLESS of whether you've worked or not in a given time period. Yes π
It's a second source, a backup for when the unexpected happens. If you don't have passive or residual income, or at least a plan for it, you're living a very risky life. There is no security in a job. Not even a high paying one. I'm speaking from experience. I was well aware of passive income but I felt I didn't need it because my career was sufficient enough. Until it ended unexpectedly and because I ignored the importance of a plan B I was screwed.
In my mess of being unemployed I came across the opportunity to generate not one, but Multiple streams of passive income through having my own digital online business. While building my business I was blessed with a new job π Holy Smokes π€©
Now I help others put themselves ahead of the curve and not depend on one source of income. You don't need to quit your job to start earning passive income. Keep it while earning on the side π€
