Does anyone else have a struggle with self-motivation? 🙋🏼♀️
In my progress of preparing to launch DVLP I had two main objectives:
1.) Set SMART goals for the overall launch (scheduled for 8/8), which included a soft launch on social to build awareness and a following and allowed me time to generate additional content for the monthly subscription boxes and workshops.
2.) Be kind to myself but push forward.
This was such a simple concept, but there were so many days when I would roll-in from work to put on my mom hat, and before I knew it, it was 9pm and I was exhausted.
Some days I gave every waking moment I had, others I was too tired to function. But every day, even when I was not “feeling it”, I sucked it up and did one thing.
▫️I picked my brand fonts.
▫️I made one social post.
▫️I read one chapter of a book for continuing education.
▫️Created the first few questions for an on-boarding survey.
When my heart was not in the mood to sing, I sang anyway. Before I knew it, I realized how much I had accomplished. On the days that I was super productive and checked-off a TON from my list, I appreciated the work and templates I had created for myself. 🥰
It’s hard to stay the course and it’s easy to make excuses. We find out how much we truly want something when we are faced with days that we sing without a tune.
My favorite quote of ALL TIME is by Emily Dickinson that says: “hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all.” 💛
Don’t stop. Keep going. You got this! 💪🏼
