This concrete floor was covered with carpet we first ground the concrete to remove any high spots then applied a chemical moisture barrier (non-toxic/boc compliant) then put down 3/4” plywood followed by aqua bar v***r barrier so we could finally put down 3/4” thick solid oak 4” planking. The custom one off reducing strip was make by hand on site going from 1/16” to 1” making a wonderful transition from the tiles in the hall to the wood floor. This was then sanded with multiple grits of sand paper and finished with waterborne semigloss urethane (non-toxic/voc compliant). Another check in the win column for happy customers. Our History

Let’s start at the beginning Andy Ernest trained Richard Zito who in turn trained me (Anthony LiCausi). I brought my brother Lou LiCausi into the trade but knowing it would be best if I wasn’t the one to train him I connected him with Andy Ernest. Years Later Lou and I would train Andy’s sons. Over the years we have trained many some have gone on to become great Flooring craftsmen others have moved on to other careers. It is our belief that we need to pass on the knowledge that was passed on to us as well as the knowledge we have learned in the school of hard knocks.
