House bill 1200 opens the door for more dyslexia therapists in our public schools. Mississippi is the only state in the country that requires our teachers to get double masters to teach dyslexia, which affects 1/5 of our children. Under the bill, certified academic language therapist can start filling that gap.

Founded in 2013, The mission at CleanBay Renewables is turning chicken manure into Clean Energy. Every day, 4 tons of chicken manure are fed into digesters- heated, then mixed with bacteria, which produces the methane gas that is then converted into energy. At full capacity, each facility will produce 750,000 MMBTUs of renewable natural gas, creating enough energy for over 11,000 homes.

Welcome to our team Carrie Thornton. Carrie started in the educational sector over 10 years ago. She has been dedicated to successful long-term classroom management and policy implementation on behalf of both teachers and students. Her analytical problem solving skills help students to develop to their full potential. Outside of the classroom, Carrie has helped companies in South Mississippi to boost profits, implement strategic performance approaches, build talent, and instill excellent leadership skills. Her positive nature, excellent people skills, and goal driven personality provides a distinct level of professional services to The Capitol Group and our clientele. In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also finds crafting to be relaxing and rewarding.

Welcome our new team member Elizabeth Newman. A highly motivated and a creative professional, Dodie Newman's broad base of experience in various industries makes her a key player on our team. Dodie earned her BS in Textile design from the University of Minnesota in 1992. She has worked in nonprofit, event planning, and association management for over 29 years. Prior to working with The Capitol Group, Dodie worked with the Mississippi Maritime Museum, and was the managing Director and Event Specialist with the International Industrial Fabrics Association. Through her excellent interpersonal skills, strong focus on customer service, and good sense of humor, Dodie coordinates and implements multiple projects at a time for The Capitol Group and our clients. During her free time, Dodie enjoys scuba diving, fishing, and traveling with her husband, Greg.
