This horse used to sit in front of Matteo’s on Broadway in Hewlett back in the day. My father worked there, and as a kid, I’d go to work with him and help with the coat check. I remember sitting on this horse as a kid.

After a few stops over the years, the horse ultimately found its forever home in Cedarhurst Park.

When we were asked to be a part of this complete overhaul and restoration, it brought back decades’ worth of memories, and we were proud to be a part of it.

Because of the incredible work of our staff at North Star Auto Body & Collision, the attention to detail has been second to none. We completed a full overhaul of the entire body and gave it a custom two-tone design — half Mets, half Yankees. Zoom in, look at the small details. That is what we do.

Next comes the professional airbrush artwork before it is formally re-dedicated.

We’ve been excited to be a part of this project from day one, and we’re even more excited to see the final outcome of what is becoming an absolute masterpiece.
