😓 A latent consequence of discouragement can manifest as you putting your dreams on the back burner without noticing.

Discouragement, a set back, deferment, a bad financial month or year, etc. can all cause us to set aside the big dream we first had.

Putting a physical reminder (not on your phone or computer) can inspire you in moments of discouragement or despair. Or at least bring you back to the moment you were first inspired.

💰 As with any investment, when choosing an agency to hire a virtual assistant to, we should be conscious and aware of where we are placing our dollars.

Do we want to put more into a huge corporation that's pumping out possibly lower quality services?

Or do we want to support our small businesses that are committed to offering quality service you can be proud of.

🧐 Some agencies contract from other countries and offer a lower rate, which means they are also paying their freelancers a lower (much lower) rate.

Once you've settled into a job/position for some time, you typically move through your weeks in a rhythm. Certain tasks are best completed on Mondays whereas some are best completed Friday before you leave for the weekend.

What about Wednesdays? This is the eve of the second half of the work week. Set the tone for TH/F or reframe the tone from M/T.

Can you complete the left overs from Monday or Tuesday?
Can you work ahead for Thursday or Friday?

When I set out to start a social media strategy for SSV, I named each day of the week on my weekly strategy sheet. I'm sure you're familiar with some of these: "Motivational Monday", "Tips Tuesday", etc..

Can that be applied to your work week, regardless of your job title? You don't have to be a social media manager to group your weekly task list by day!

🤔 This quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, in the context of small business and goal setting, reminded me of 'imposter syndrome'. In recent years this term has become a buzzword to signal some internal struggle between who you project to the world/your new career or status/etc. and who you feel or think you are.

Typically when someone uses this quote, they are speaking toward external conflict with someone who maybe is belittling/bullying you.

👉🏼 I would like to challenge you to read this quote as an internal reflection.

Are you giving yourself consent to make you feel inferior?

Are you giving consent to the imposter syndrome that you are feeling?

⚠️ It may be time to give that eviction notice to inferiority and imposter syndrome and let yourself know that you DO NOT consent to this any longer.

*We know that this is easier said than done, but recognizing this as an internal conflict is huge.

Well, Thank God it's Friday!!

Take note of the feeling you are having and make 2 plans:
- a plan for the weekend to relax and let go of this week
- a plan for next week, to do things differently so you don't feel this way next week!

Do you find that your productivity wanes at certain points of the work day?
- Give yourself a boost by making sure you have a list go goals for the day so when you aren't feeling motivated to be productive, you can just go to your list!

Is it harder for you to get started in the mornings when your goals aren't clearly defined?
- When the task list is just flying around in your mind like a tornado, it's harder to get yourself going on any of those tasks. Writing them down and giving yourself a deadline for each task takes the ambiguity away.

Utilize these three strategies in order to maximize your productivity and get yourself through the mornings and the waning periods of the day!

🕰 You would be surprised how much time you will recover by handing over just the second column at first. This will then allow you to focus on the main items, expanding the vision, and seeing more growth that you were when you were doing it all yourself.

🪄 Once you are established with these items and you are ready, you can train your VA to handle the tasks you feel aren't grab and go tasks.
