STARTING IS THE HARDEST PART!

Raise your hand high if you've ever had this thought? I know I have 😅. But honestly there is really no shame iN wishing there was an easy it way out. But there isn't. But not starting is not the answer.

My encouragement to anyone with a dream to start, is just do it. ✔️ Don't over think it. Don't worry about how scary it is. Stop focusing on the " what if no one comes." Just feel the fear and do it anyway.

Start Your Business. Build Your Brand. Launch Your Passion.

All you need is the determination to start. You have to believe that it's possible. If the last 13 months have taught us anything, it's that we don't have time to waste. The world needs whatever it is you have to give.

So feel the fear and do it anyway.

I'm launching a new program this week for anyone who is tried waiting for the "right moment and wants to do it now! So turn on your post notifications so you won't miss out and your chance to START!

When’s the last time you did something for the first time?

Well me for it was sitting on a random stoop in Brooklyn eating a $1 slice of pizza. It was significant because I didn’t have to think about it. I was focused on just enjoying the moment. I know the way the world is set up right now spontaneity isn’t really a thing for real.

So of what we have to do to be safe has to been planned. But I personally don’t want ever want to lose the sense of the thrill of doing something for the first time.

I remember so vividly the day I said I was going to start a business! I had NO CLUE what o was doing but I knew it was something that I knew I had to do. And with same excitement I bought that $1 slice with it’s the same joy that I’ve used to build my business sight unseen for the last!

I’m challenging you all do something you’ve never done! Push yourself to dream big and stretch wide. You have the capability to do anything you put your mind to and put a plan to!

If you need a little help getting starting on that passion project, side hustle, or business sign ups for my 7 Day Built to Bloom Challenge will be opening next week! If need help starting from A-Z mapping out your idea this challenge is for you!

So y’all stay tuned and let’s get ready to BUILD!

Tell me what’s the last thing you did for the first time?! Comment below 👇🏾

TRANSPARENCY POST: For all the hardworking double and quadruple hat wearing ambitious souls out there, this post is for you.
A friend of mine called me on the FaceTime the day I took this picture and he was like “I know you’re working hard but you ain’t gotta look like that 😂 () After I got off phone I really thought long and hard about the life I was creating the worlds I was balancing in 2 hands and 2 feet. And although he’s right 🙄 I realized how I looked in the moment was also the best I could do for myself in that moment. And I was totally fine with that! Because I’ve totally embraced the hot mess that life sometimes becomes. People have often complimented me on my page and how they always feels encouraged and inspired about how bright and beautiful everything looks, which is definitely my goal, but I always want to be real. Being Mom, Wife, business owner, podcaster, creative, and alll the other things sometimes gets hard to balance, but that’s no secret. And the beautifully curated feed is just a snapshot of beautiful moments, not a reflection of a life everyday. But behind the scenes are long nights, disappoints, mistakes, great wins, and so many levels of ups and downs in between. And I’m so grateful for all of it. So grateful for alll lessons learned in this journey and whether I’m showing up in full face or my favorite pajamas I’m so clear on my purpose and my mission and I’m committed to everyone who is supporting me and everyone who is inspired to dream bigger and Reach further. Count this as my official return back to my Instagram feed and showing up I’m my business like never before in the last 44 days of this year and even more in 2021! To Celebrate spots for 2021 Business Coaching open tomorrow and I’m excited to work with passionate entrepreneurs and newbies who are ready to Build and Bloom! 🤣😏 hint hint 💕💐

LETS TALK ABOUT BEING “multi-hyphenate“

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to just call it quits on everything and just be “basic.” But when you are called to something, when you have a purpose to serve, you can’t. And add on top of that being someone with a lot of different projects, businesses, and spaces to serve, I’ve accepted that I’m a multi-hyphenate. What does that actually mean Martina? 🤔 well you know those people who are like “singer-songwriters, actor-producer” it’s just the people who play several significant roles. And therefore get the “-“

And if we all were to look our lives we would realize we are all in some way MULTI- HYPHENATE but it’s how we let those roles play out in our lives determines that the the impact that hyphen will have.

Well I’ve determined that in every role I play or serve I will make an impact. I will fulfill purpose. So I don’t know who may be feeling overwhelmed by “everything you have going on” but don’t! You were built for this! Take like 1 day at a time and focus on things you can control and spaces you can influence because this will increase your productivity and impact! It’s Friday fam, so take the weekend and think about all the roles you play and take on Monday with a new perspective and renewed sense of purpose!

And while you’re here, check out my first IG TV Series Episode of Entrepreneur Diaries: My Bloomprint where i take about my first quarter of business and things I’ve learned so far!

Living and learning go hand in hand. And I've realized if you don't take time to smell the roses, they will literally die! I know that sounds so morbid, it's true. ⠀
⠀
These pictures were from my vacation back in January to NOLA, if someone had told me seven months later, we would be living through a pandemic and basically be shut-in since March, you better believe I would have ate a little more, starred a little longer, and drank ALOT more, lool. JK, kind of. ⠀
⠀
But my point is, don't take any moment, opportunity, or even breath for granted. We just don't know what tomorrow holds, I'm certainly praying for better days. ⠀
⠀
Can't wait to go and explore some more of the world when all of this is over! ⠀

MYTH: To Build YOUR Brand Online You Just have to post nice photo! ❌⠀

So I hear this from all the time who are confused and frustrated with using social media to grow their business. This is only part of a much larger strategy! ⠀

And although quality post are VERY important, there are so many other aspects to building your visual identity on and offline! ⠀

But when you’re just starting out social media is DEFINITELY my first recommendation. It’s also one of my favorite parts of brand design ( SWIPE LEFT ➡️ to see some Instagram brand transformations for businesses I’ve worked with. ⠀

Don’t be intimidated by social media, when you combined quality photos, captivating captions, and a consistent strategy you can definitely get the results you’re looking for. ⠀

Since starting my business most of the work I’ve gotten was word of mouth and referrals. I’ve only recently starting implementing a social strategy and already seen an uptick people wanting to work together. ⠀

So don’t feel like it can’t happen for you or if you’ve been in business for a while and aren’t getting leads or product sales. It may be that you just need a little help! ⠀

This month I’m taking 3 new Social Media ReDesign Clients! Send me DM to see how we can work together and make all your social dreams a visual reality! ⠀

keep reading! In 2018 I graduated from with my MA in Communications with a concentration in Marketing. I kind of fell into that program because the screenwriting program was moving to another college and I didn’t want to basically start over. So I pivoted and honestly it’s one of the best things that could have happened to me.

Fast forward a year later I had a job that my Masters degree helped to helped me to get but I was feeling so unfulfilled. I went to school like everyone said I got the degree that I needed but I still wasn’t feeling like where I was was enough.

Then I decided that I wanted to help people tell their stories. So less than a year later I started my own business.

Looking back I’m grateful for what my education has afforded me and all the things that I’ve learned. But my success in business has nothing to do with the degrees behind my name. And it’s so unfortunate that so many people disqualify themselves because they don’t feel like they have the “ education” to do certain things in their life.

So for all those out there who feel like they want to try something new but don’t feel like they have what it takes or know enough, trust me you do.

I will forever be grateful for my education but what made me successful in business is my ability to use my resources and make things happen. Now more than ever the idea of ownership is so important to me.

At any moment we’ve seen you can be without a job but if you own your own business and have your own source and means of income no one can ever take that from you.

So as much as I celebrate my accomplishments for those watching on the outside don’t feel like if you don’t have that you can’t be successful too.

So don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and just try if you have an idea write a plan and make it happen. @ Downtown Atlanta

Transparency Moment: This is me constantly. Either I’m talking on the phone, working on the phone, or working on the computer. The most difficult challenge of working full-time and running a full- time business is learning when to stop. Balancing being present and being profitable isn’t easy. When you add having family in the mix it makes it worse because on one hand you’re doing what you do for your family but you ultimately end up neglecting them a little in the process. I love the work I do and I love my family even more. So my goal now has been finding ways to make sure I’m not working around the clock (which has been happening the last few weeks 🤦🏾‍♀️) and finding moments to just be fully present. For all my aspiring entrepreneurs and even small business owners who are afraid to take the leap because of the gambit of reasons that follows our mind when doing and learning something new, DONT! Don’t let fear keep you from starting that business or pursuing that dream. But don’t go in thinking the process will be a walk in the park. There are so many things to learn, overcome, and adjust in to but you just have to be determined to make it happen!
