As we age, the body's natural thirst signal becomes less reliable, which makes it easy to become dehydrated without realizing it. Here are three simple ways to stay on top of it.

💧 Keep a water bottle within reach throughout the day — out of sight, out of mind.

🍋 Add fruit or a squeeze of lemon for flavor — it makes water more enjoyable and easier to drink consistently.

⏰ Set a reminder on your phone or watch — a small nudge goes a long way when thirst cues are not as reliable as they used to be.

Save this post and share it with someone who could use the reminder. 📌

Hey Lake Country! Happy Labor Day!

Did you see or hear us rolling through?! My husband Derek and I look forward to this ride every year! ❤️🏍️

One of the things I love most about owning a business in Lake Country is being part of the same community where we live, work, and spend our time and this is always such a great day to be a part of. Huge shout out to the Big Unit's Annual Poker Run, Harley-Davidson Museum and all of the businesses that welcomed us along the route. Hosting that many bikes and riders is no small task, and everyone did an amazing job keeping things organized, safe, and fun!

Who else was out there with us this year?! Give this a ❤️ if you were there, or drop a picture in the comments! We’d love to see you!

-Sara

Healthy Aging Tip #5: Keep In Touch with Friends and Family

Social connection is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging, and it is easy to let it slip. Reach out to a friend, neighbor, or family member you have not spoken to recently. A short conversation can lift both of your days.

Healthy Aging Tip #4: Secure Your Home

Falls are one of the most common and most preventable risks for older adults at home. Secure loose rugs, add nightlights along hallways, install grab bars in the bathroom, and keep walkways clear. Small changes make a real difference in safety and confidence.

Healthy Aging Tip #3: Eat the Rainbow

Healthy eating does not have to be complicated. Focus on variety, especially colorful fruits and vegetables that cover a wide range of nutrients. Rotate what is on your plate every few weeks and pair it with whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy.
