Murfield Coaching I motivate people to think bigger and reach higher to do the impossible.

My recent book, "Just One More" details how I overcame physical and mental health issues to run 6 marathons in the year I turned 68.

Winning a race with no finish line is impossible. Stop chasing "more" and choose contentment instead.

The smaller your circle becomes, the clearer your vision gets. 🎯

Not everyone deserves a front-row seat in your life.

As you grow, you'll realize that success isn't about knowing more people—it's about knowing the right people.

Some people are attracted to the image.
Others are attracted to the real you.

The image can build a crowd.
Character builds trust.

That's why genuine people often keep their circles small. They value loyalty over popularity, depth over attention, and peace over drama.

A few real friends who support your growth are worth more than a hundred people who only show up when things are going well.

Protect your energy.
Choose quality over quantity.
And never measure your worth by the size of your audience.

The strongest circles aren't the biggest—they're the most genuine. 💯

Freedom becomes impossible when every dollar needs to be spent the moment it arrives.

That cycle keeps people trapped for years.

Most people say they want freedom, but their habits are addicted to instant pleasure.

Fast purchases.

Fast dopamine.

Fast validation.

Meanwhile, real freedom is built slowly through patience, sacrifice, and self control.

Every disciplined decision gives your future more breathing room.

Every impulsive decision steals from it.

The people with the most options later are usually the ones who learned how to say no right now.

I train alone for this purpose

In the first year of life, the brain is rapidly forming its main neural connections. The amygdala, responsible for detecting threats, is already active, while the prefrontal cortex, which regulates emotions and rational thinking, is still immature.

Since infants cannot self-regulate, they rely on caregivers for co-regulation. Being held helps stabilize heart rate, breathing, and temperature, creating a sense of physiological safety.

Touch also influences stress chemistry by lowering cortisol and increasing oxytocin, which promotes bonding and signals safety. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting a calm state.

These early experiences shape how the brain handles fear later on. Anxiety is often linked to an overactive amygdala and weaker prefrontal control. When stress is consistently soothed in infancy, the connection between these systems develops more effectively.

This creates a stronger internal regulation system in adulthood, helping the brain calm fear responses before they escalate, while also building a baseline sense of safety and predictability.
