First time mounting one on the new Mears Whitetail Forms semi-sneak straight. A lot of taxidermists (myself included) frown upon the straight pose, but this one grew on me!

Had an awesome time this weekend at the 50th annual Alabama Taxidermist Association competition in Guntersville. I was fortunate enough to get a second place ribbon and my highest score yet! Also got some great critiques on how to improve on the small details to hopefully come home with a blue in the future. It was my first time attending the Alabama show but definitely not the last. A great group of people, with great seminars and judges and a beautiful location.

Also, thank you to Ravenel Freeze Dry for the beautiful work and fast turnaround on freeze drying the antlers and thanks to TrueForm Precision Taxidermy Components LLC for the most accurate replacement noses available.
