At our latest Women in Business Coffee Chat, Grace Dorothy shared the story of an unlikely football team that challenged expectations by finding a different way forward. It sparked a conversation about the barriers we don’t always see.

A new school year is easier to start when students have what they need on day one.

MarketStar employees recently visited schools across the Ogden School District to take inventory and help stock the MarketStar Student Resource Center (MSRC) at each location — making sure every school is ready to support its students and families.
Through a partnership between the MarketStar Foundation, Ogden School Foundation, Ogden School District, Catholic Community Services, and United Way of Northern Utah, the MSRC gives families quick access to school supplies, food, clothing, household essentials, and hygiene items right when they need them.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this possible — and in helping students head back to school with confidence.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community development, MarketStar supported The Junior League of Ogden's Run for the Roses, a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser held in support of women's leadership programs in the community.

Proceeds from the event benefit initiatives including the Oasis Community Garden and the Jr. Junior League, a mentorship program providing leadership training for girls in grades 5–9.

The Better Collective's community newspaper gives a voice to people experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City (SLC) and connects them with local resources.

Last week, our teams in Hyderabad and Bengaluru came together for a meaningful initiative with our long-standing partner, Nirmaan Organization.

As part of MarketStar Foundation’s Seedball Making activity, over 50 employees joined hands to support environmental sustainability in a simple yet impactful way. What looked like small actions—shaping seedballs, sharing time, working side by side—carried a much larger purpose.

More than the activity itself, it was about creating awareness, nurturing care, and contributing to a greener future, together.

The seedballs will be distributed to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), where young learners will plant and nurture them within their school campuses—encouraging environmental responsibility from an early age.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated and to Nirmaan.org for making this possible. When collective effort meets intent, impact follows.

Every Friday, local elementary students head home with healthy, easy-to-prepare meals to carry them through the weekend. That's Bridging the Gap—Catholic Community Services' mobile food distribution program serving kids across the Weber and Ogden School Districts.🌟

This school year, the MarketStar Foundation had the privilege of supporting the program alongside CCS and the volunteers who show up with care, consistency, and purpose. Week after week, it was a reminder of what can happen when people come together for their community.

Last week marked our final event of the 2025–26 school year, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make each Friday meaningful.

When our communities grow stronger, we all grow together. 🧡
