We are seeking to fill a FULL-TIME production person.
Duties:
-Loading, operation, and maintenance of large format printers used to create vehicle wrap media and full-color signage.
-File manipulation for output to RIP programs for printing and/or vinyl cutting applications used to die-cut vinyl.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
-Setting up and operation of lamination machines for large-format printed media.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area.
-Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
-Setting up and cutting of vinyl on a vinyl plotter.
-Cutting, weeding, and application taping in preparation for vinyl installation.
-Keeping track of inventory for reordering.
-The preparation/installation of full-color printed media and cut vinyl onto various surfaces (IE glass, vehicles, doors, monuments, etc...)
-Lifting of rolls of media for installation onto the printers for production.

Requirements:

-Previous experience in a sign shop environment is preferred but will train the right person.
-Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
-Knowledge of Windows PC.
-Strong attention to detail and quality control.
-Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
-Reliable transportation.
-Positive mindset.

Now Hiring! We're on the search for a production / project assistant. It's a pretty cool place to work with even cooler co-workers. We use large format printers and print mostly vinyl, which includes printing, laminating, cutting, weeding, and pre-press work. PC knowledge is necessary, and sign creation is preferred. What was your first paying job?
I worked in the nursery at a local flower shop.

Are there any places on your travel bucket lists?
Italy, France and Switzerland.

What’s the best place you’ve travelled to?
Catalina Island.

What is something you are proud of?
My job! My education and my open mindedness.

Have you read or watched anything great lately?
I’ve read both of Mark Lanegans memoirs this year. He was a musician and his stories and poetry are incredible.

Do you have any hobbies?
Playing guitar, writing poetry, and painting/drawing.

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?
I saw Paul McCartney live when I was 9.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A professional athlete (baseball).

what’s your idea of the perfect day?
Playing guitar/creating music, eating good food and enjoying myself and the company of my cat ( I’m easy)

Where did you grow up?
Ogden, UT

What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Constantly learning and improving and creating new relationships.

What was your first paying job?
McDonalds

Who inspires you?
My son. His name is Sage, he is 24 and lives in Seattle.

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?
The Cure 1983 @ the Kabuki Theater in San Francisco.

Any places on your travel bucket list?
Norway, Fiji, Japan and Prague

What’s the best place you’ve travelled to?
I would have to say New Zealand or maybe Greece.

Have you read/watched anything awesome lately?
I am currently reading Iggy Pop’s Biography, which I am enjoying.

What is something you are proud of?
My son.

Do you have any hobbies?
Playing musical instruments and writing poetry/lyrics.

What’s a skill you’d like to improve on?
I would like to start painting again and getting back into Kendo ( Japanese fencing)

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An artist.

What is your idea of a perfect day?
Lazily walking a beach somewhere when it’s cloudy or stormy.

The Bay Area and Santa Cruz CA

What’s the most exciting part of your job?
When I get to design things. I’ve been a hands on graphic designer since 1993 and a computer graphic designer since 1998. Any chance I get to do some actual designing where I can use my creativity is always exciting for me.

What was your first paying job?
Slinger of current events publisher (paper boy)

What’s the best concert you have been to?
Music is absolutely amazing, to say one of the best is difficult. My first real concert was Metallica at Weber State University in 1998. A few other favorites have been Macklemore, Foo Fighters, and Butch Walker.

Any places on your travel bucket lists?
I would love to visit Iceland, UK and New Zealand.

What is something you are proud of?
Wow, what a question. I would say that I am most proud of the person I am becoming. I strive to be more kind everyday.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a dinosaur, but then realized that wasn’t in the cards. So I decided I wanted to be a Paleontologist.

Where did you grow up?
Right here in good ol’ Ogden, Utah

What’s the most exciting part of your job?
The creativity. When a client gets excited about something that came directly from my brain. That excites me tremendously. The same can be said when a concept come to fruition within the company.
