George Rogers Clark (19 November 1752–13 February 1818), member-elect of the Convention of 1776 and Revolutionary War officer, was the son of John Clark and Ann Rogers Clark. He was born near Charlottesville in Albemarle County and grew up on the family's small farm in Caroline County
