You've been there before. โ
You took a chance, made an investment, and it just didn't pan out the way you hoped. โ
๐ฅด The work fell short of your expectations. โ
๐ฅด You spent precious time teaching them your methods. โ
๐ฅด At the end of the day, they didn't deliver on what you needed. โ
Sound familiar? ๐ Yep, we've all been there. โ ๐ซฃ
There are plenty of reasons why things might not click.โ
But have you considered these factors?โ
Maybe the investment didn't pay off because...โ
๐ค You didn't have the right systems and processes in place to support a new hire. โ
๐ค You didn't communicate effectively before diving in, and your personalities just didn't mesh. โ
๐ค You hired during a chaotic time, when getting anything done was an uphill battle. โ
From working with clients at all stages of their journey, these are the tales I often hear. โ
And here's my take...โ
โก๏ธ First off, don't expect miracles in the first month. Give your new hire time to learn the ropes and understand your business. โ
โก๏ธ If you're bringing someone in to help with systems and processes, great! Just make sure to schedule time to get everything set up the way you want it. โ The more you direction you give, the better they are set up for success!
โก๏ธ Hiring for client work or your own projects? Establish clear processes and SOPs to set your hires up for success. Then, it's up to them to take action and deliver. โ
โก๏ธ Communication! Communication! Communication! Seriously, I can't stress this enough. Be open and honest about your needs if you want this to work. Your hires are great, but they're not mind readers. ๐โโ๏ธโ
So, that's my two cents. I'd love to hear about your experiences and thoughts. Share 'em below! ๐
