Let us introduce ourselves! We feel it’s time for a proper introduction as the minds and hands behind JMD.
We are Jacqueline Moore and Chloë Brown, a team of two artists who are very grateful to be doing what we are doing.
Jacqueline is the founder and visionary behind JMD. She followed her creative dream at a very young age, moving from England to California right after art college with little but her raw talent and inspiration. She earned her stripes in many corners of the design and art world, and now sits in a position of true mastery in her craft and style (although she’s far to humble to admit this— I, Chloë, will say it for her!). In her own words, “I would describe my work as that of a storyteller.”
She brought me on in 2019, and what started as an apprenticeship with a very clear mentor-mentee dynamic has over the past 7 years grown to be a strong team of two. While I will always feel like I am the student to Jackie in the same way she will always feel like a student to life, she has watered the garden of JMD so that we may now each bloom with creativity, agency, and vision in our work. I am honored to have been given the encouragement and support in my journey to becoming a professional alongside Jacqueline.
So here we are now, the two of us looking forward to another year of growth, creativity, and collaboration. Not just between us, but between JMD and you. A heartfelt thank you for being in our lives to whatever extend you are, whether it’s as family, a friend, a professional collaborator, or just as a fellow creative.
