WHAT WE DO! First, we will purchase your alligators outright. Because of the volatility of the market we cannot tell you exactly what your alligator will bring at this time, but I can promise you top dollar. Second, we can process your alligator. We are a state licensed processing facility. We can process your alligator’s meat, or, if you’re in a hurry we can exchange your meat for fully processed

, defatted, cubed and frozen vacuum-sealed meat. You can swap your meat for your hide, swap your hide for your meat or just pay for processing. Third, we can mount your alligator. Anything from a simple head mount to a full body mount as a coffee table or an elaborate trophy mount for your trophy room. Hi there, my name is Ricky Lightsey and I have been in the alligator business for over 20 years. We are second in three generations of alligator hunters and processors and I would like to purchase, process and/or taxidermy your alligators. Whatever your needs are, we are here to serve you. Hello to all of our state hunt 2026 hunters and outfitters. As some of you may already know FWC is doing things a little different this year. There will be no paper harvest report form for you to fill out. It is all done online. You will have 24 hours to report your harvest.
Once you report your harvest online and you are bringing your gator to Florida Trophy Gators it will email us a copy.
However, We here at FTG are trying something to make sure things run as smooth as we can make it. When you drop off your gator, there will be a box with index sized cards for you to fill out. It will have places for you to put your contact info and gator info on it.
Once you complete it, please put it in the yellow mailbox. The coolers are open 24 hours and the office is open 8-5 Monday-Friday and Saturdays 8-12 once the state hunt starts. Please read all signage and follow all the directions posted at our coolers. Also, please ice and cover your gators when transporting!
