Wildly Capable

Yesterday .magazine launched Issue 05 - 50 Wildly Capable Women Over 50 in Oklahoma City. So many gathered from all over to celebrate this year’s honorees, of which I am one.

Hundred Magazine recognizes Oklahoma City women for who they are, not just what they do, asking the question: what does it mean to be wildly capable?

The room could barely contain the electricity and the strength coming together in there! It is fair to say that I was overwhelmed by it and still stand in complete awe of these fearless, compassionate, and faithful women. They all reminded me that we are all wildly capable of doing great things! Let’s go ✨

Out here is my jam and where I go when my family can’t find me. Tried to get a timelapse of the sunrise for you today but it wasn’t very good. Probably because I was holding the camera, trying to be still. 🤪

But I was reminded of some things, staying in one place for what seemed like forever (30mins max!):
✨ dragonflies are beautiful
✨ birds are loud
✨ nature is a miracle that we take for granted
✨ my jaw (and ass) unclenched
✨ my breath slowed and deepened
✨ it’s glorious when our kids are still asleep
✨ darkness cannot stay when the light is present

You have access to the Light. Did you know that? And the darkness around you cannot stay when the Light is present.

✨Here’s to staying still, noticing the nature around you. Here’s to unclenching as a result. And here’s to walking one step at a time, because the Light is showing us the Way. ✨

Good Friday is about death.

And as a general rule…we don’t deal directly with death all that often or all that well.

The core of the Christian narrative is contained in these next 3 days:
Good Friday.
Holy Saturday.
Easter Sunday.

There is no way to have resurrection without acknowledging that which needs to die.
