Grief can often times make us feel very isolated. We do our best to navigate the deep pain we feel and sometimes, we even turn to unhealthy coping strategies.

After losing my dad, John Hearne, on May 7, 2023, I felt called to create an offering, born out of the experience he and I shared in his final months. The grief was overwhelming and never really goes away. You find a way to keep going and to honor their memory.

I DID IT!! 🎉

I am proud to share that I successfully completed the Grief Educator Certificate Program, created and led by Grief Expert, David Kessler. ❤️‍🩹

I embarked on this intensive program while struggling with my own grief, after my dad passed away on May 7, 2023. This program helped me better understand my own grief and also how to support others in the midst of their grief journey.

This program prompted me to volunteer with the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention’s Oklahoma Chapter and also to create a workshop for those experiencing grief through caretaking of a terminally ill loved one.

When my coaching and facilitation journey began, grief coaching and facilitation of a grief workshop were not on my radar, but now, I am stepping into this difficult arena.

Making a difference in this world is my purpose in life and I go where the signs lead me. This, by no means, takes away from my Executive Coaching or Leadership Development knowledge - it adds to it.

I, Shannon Cochran-Yzquierdo, ACC, PMP, AM VERY EXCITED TO BRING THIS OFFERING TO FRUITION!

It's December 1, 2025 and that means, today is the day for the release of the name of my special project!!

Drum roll please!!

The name is, "A Tapestry of Courage: Weaving Love and Preparation in the Face of Terminal Illness."

"A Tapestry of Love" is a compassionate, six-part workshop series that empowers families and friends to move beyond fear and into a space of courage, advocacy, and intentional love during the final months of a loved one's life.

The one-pager will be posted momentarily.

The first offering will be in person in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma this January 2026!! The workshop will run for six hours with a break for lunch. The cost is $599 for the the workshop in its entirety, which includes all activity supplies and a booklet with useful information as you navigate this journey with your loved one.
