Most data migrations for production operations are slow, manual, and loaded with risk. Teams spend months cleaning spreadsheets, chasing mapping issues, and hoping nothing breaks when the new system finally goes live.

Novus built something different.

NovusMigration ingests raw exports, validates the data, maps relationships automatically, and produces software ready output in a fraction of the normal timeline. The platform even visualizes the entire network so operators can see wells, tanks, meters, and facilities connected in real time before anything is loaded downstream.

The real differentiator is the intelligence behind it. NovusMigration can analyze connection topology across massive datasets and automatically suggest unit groupings, facility structures, and naming conventions that traditionally take engineers weeks to untangle manually.

Less spreadsheet chaos. Less migration risk. Full auditability. Faster go-lives.

This is what happens when oilfield operational knowledge designs solutions for your success.

Today we celebrate the women who somehow manage to lead with strength, patience, resilience, and heart both at home and in the workplace.

At Novus, we are especially proud of the incredible moms on our team who bring that same dedication and care into everything they do each day. Their ability to balance leadership, family, professionalism, and compassion is something worthy of recognition far beyond just one holiday.

To all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and mother figures, thank you for the sacrifices you make and the example you set. We appreciate you an we celebrate you.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Novus.

There’s something special about this time of year in Oklahoma City.

Next week, the INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF HYDROCARBON MEASUREMENT INC rolls back into town, bringing together one of the most established gatherings in our industry. For nearly a century, has been the place where measurement professionals come to sharpen their craft, share real-world knowledge, and push the industry forward.

From the classroom sessions to the exhibit hall, it’s where the details that matter most in measurement get worked out… and where the people behind those details finally get to connect.

Our team at is looking forward to being there and seeing so many familiar faces, along with plenty of new ones making the trip to OKC.
A lot of what’s discussed at ISHM lives in the gap between operations and outcomes. That’s exactly where we’ve been spending our time, helping companies connect the dots from the field to finance in a way that actually holds up in the real world.

If you’re heading in next week, we’d love to catch up. No pitch, just good conversations with people who care about getting measurement right.
See you in OKC.

Nichole Buersmeyer (Novus Consulting's VP of System & Data Services), Michelle Taylor, CPL ( Apache Corporation's Director of Land Data Management ), and Kathy Eimerbrink (MineralAnswers.com Chief Commercial Officer) conducted a panel yesterday at Quorum Software titled “Why Great Systems Still Produce Poor Decisions.”

The session drew a strong crowd and sparked meaningful discussion, with many attendees sharing their own experiences and challenges. Kathy, Michelle, and Nichole offered thoughtful insights into the factors that truly drive better outcomes inside organizations. From system design and data quality to team alignment and decision processes, they shared practical perspectives on what separates organizations that struggle from those that consistently make better decisions.

It was an engaging conversation and a great reminder that technology alone rarely solves the problem. The real impact happens when the right systems, people, and processes come together.

Great conversation this morning at the Energy Conference Network's AI in Oil and Gas Conference in !

Scottie Bryan joined Conner Marchell (Riverbend Energy Group) , Rich Koob (Mansfield Energy Corp) and Herman Nieuwoudt (IFS) on the kickoff keynote panel titled “What AI Worked in 2024–2025 (and What’s Next).”

The discussion covered practical lessons learned from early deployments of AI across the energy sector and where the industry is seeing real value emerge. It was encouraging to hear such thoughtful perspectives from organizations actively shaping how these technologies are applied in the field.

We’re grateful to collaborate with groups like these as we work together to help guide the energy industry through the next phase of the AI frontier.

A HUGE thank you to the for organizing another outstanding event. The turnout and engagement from energy professionals across the industry has been impressive.

If you’re attending the conference, keep an eye out for Scottie and Drew Miller! Say hello and learn more about !

Big shout out to Nichole Buersmeyer for an outstanding presentation today at the WOGA Colorado tech luncheon in .

Her session on Good Data, Better Decisions tackled a challenge everyone in our industry knows too well: the real risk in capital programs often isn’t the reservoir, it’s the handoffs between teams and the data behind the decisions.

Nichole has a great way of turning complex operational and data problems into practical insight that energy professionals can actually use.

More importantly, she continues to show real leadership in helping people across the industry think differently about their careers, their impact, and the way they approach the work.

Also, consider this a heads up....you're going to see Nichole on quite a few more posts this month! Nichole has a packed April with multiple speaking events and events around the nation. If she’s speaking somewhere near you, it’s worth making time to attend.

We’re lucky to have her representing and sharing that message across the industry. Way to go Nichole!

Data is everywhere. Confidence in it? That’s a different story.

That’s exactly what Novus' Nichole Buersmeyer will be tackling at the upcoming WOGA Colorado Q2 Technical Lunch in .

On April 1st, Nichole will be sharing how energy organizations can move beyond “good enough” data practices to make better, faster decisions while actively reducing risk tied to capital investments.

At , we see this challenge every day:
Data that exists, but isn’t trusted
Systems that function, but don’t align
Decisions that matter, but lack clarity

Nichole brings a practical, real-world perspective on how to fix that and more importantly, how to make data actually work for the business.

Big credit to Women in Oil & Gas Association Colorado for continuing to create spaces where these conversations can happen. WOGA has built something special in the Denver energy community, and this is another great example.

If you’re in the Denver area and care about making smarter decisions with your data (and avoiding expensive mistakes), this is worth your time.

This week, Novus' Drew Miller attended the IQ Hub Conference in Houston, an event bringing together operators, technologists, and industry leaders focused on the future of operations.

The conference highlights the growing importance of real-time data, automation, and modern wellsite technologies as the industry continues its push toward smarter, more efficient operations.

For Drew, who has spent his career working with systems and operational data, it was an opportunity to hear from innovative speakers and exchange ideas about where the industry is headed next.

This is EXACTLY where Novus Consulting thrives. The conversations happening around digital oilfields, data integrity, and smarter field operations sit right in our wheelhouse.

Great discussions, great networking, and a great reminder that the energy industry continues to evolve through technology and collaboration.

Novus had the opportunity to co sponsor a tent at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Cook Off last night and it was one for the books.

We were so fortunate to partner with Quorum Software, Lighthouse Midstream Services, ROAM-AI and Third Coast to build what was easily one of the best tents on opening night.

Even better than the setup was the amazing company. A great night with friends and partners from across the energy landscape, all in one place.

And the food.... did not disappoint. The barbecue was prepared by the 2024 Grand Champions, Taste of the South Bar-B-Que Team. Pretty evident why they bring home the gold.....Incredible...

A huge, sincere 'thank you' to our partner companies who helped bring this together. To all those who attend the rodeo this year, have fun and we hope to see you next year at the tent!

Lauren Masters represented this week at the Peloton hosted at the beautiful First National in Oklahoma City.

Great venue, wonderfully run sessions, and an excellent look at the platform in action. Always valuable to see how the software continues to evolve to support operators in the field.

Even better was reconnecting with so many industry peers and partners. We love this community and appreciate the strong conversations. Check out the Roadshow when it's in your neck of the woods!
