One common misunderstanding about hospice is that it means “we’re giving up.”
In reality, hospice often means someone is receiving increased care and visits that help them feel better, rest better, breathe easier, and sometimes even stabilize or improve — because their whole life is being supported, not just their diagnosis. Many times, and for
various reasons families wait longer than they need to before adding this valuable service.
During my years working in long term care, I have seen and experienced value firsthand with Ascend Hospice. They followed many of our residents over time, and many times I watched people become more comfortable, more peaceful, and more supported — along with their families.
This is Marlo, one of their local team members. I value working with her because she truly cares about the people and situations behind the referrals.
At Sage Senior Care Advisors, we aren’t only here to help families find the right place for a loved one- it’s our desire to connect them with the right people, when we can. I’ll be sharing more info about the professionals we trust here, because we believe WHO is on your care team truly matters.
