Let’s be real — not every floor is installed the way it should be.
Here are the Top 3 mistakes we see on jobs (and yes, we’ve fixed a few of these):

1️⃣ Skipping Subfloor Prep
You can’t just drop new floors on top of old problems.
If the subfloor’s weak, uneven, or soft — the new floors won’t last.

2️⃣ Wrong Product for the Space
We’ve seen carpet in basements, click-lock over unlevel concrete, and hardwood glued down where LVP should’ve been.
The wrong product = future call-backs.

3️⃣ Rushed or Unskilled Installs
No transitions. Gaps at the walls. Loose seams.
A fast job isn’t always a finished job.

Our crew takes the time to do it right — every time.
Because it’s not just about how it looks when we leave… it’s how it feels six months later.

🔨 280-Room Flooring Renovation | Great Wolf Lodge, KS
Great Wolf Lodge is one of the largest hospitality properties in Kansas and this project meant renovating 280 rooms from the ground up.

Our team handled the entire process, start to finish:
• furniture removal
• old carpet + damaged subfloor demolition
• concrete repair and plywood reinforcement
• self-leveling for smooth, consistent surfaces
• install of glue-down commercial carpet tile throughout

Commercial flooring only turns out right when every step is done in order and done the same way across every unit. Prep, leveling, and installation all have to match — room after room — to get a result that holds up to thousands of guests.

If your property needs a reliable team for commercial flooring, we can walk the site and put together a plan that fits the scale of your project.

You can put down great carpet or LVT… but none of it will hold up if the subfloor isn’t corrected first.

Most issues we see in commercial buildings — lifting edges, soft spots, uneven areas — come from poor prep, not the flooring itself.

Proper subfloor work means reinforcing weak spots, replacing damaged sections, and leveling the surface so the flooring has a solid base to adhere to.

When the foundation is right, the floor performs the way it should.
Prep first, install second — that’s the standard on every job.

If you’re planning a new flooring project, we can walk the space, bring the samples to you, and make sure the install is done the right way from the start.

Glue-Down Commercial Carpet || Commercial Building Storage Room

Commercial flooring looks simple once it’s finished — but even a small storage room has to be prepped the right way if you want it to last.
This building needed subfloor correction before anything could go down.

Our process stays the same whether it’s one room or an entire facility:
• reinforce weak subfloor areas
• install new plywood for support
• pour leveler to correct uneven surfaces
• finish with glue-down commercial carpet + carpet base

Doing the prep right is what makes a floor durable, safe, and reliable for daily use. Big job or small, we handle it the same way — properly.

If your facility needs flooring built to hold up long-term, we can walk the space and put together a plan that fits your needs.

thank you.

Every install helps us keep serving the KC community we care about, and we don’t take that trust lightly.

From our Payless family to yours,
Happy Thanksgiving.
