🚨 Now Hiring: Crop Scout (Summer Job)
📍 Olathe Spray Service, Inc. – Olathe, CO

We’re looking for a summer crop scout to check fields for pests and disease, then report findings to growers and help book spray jobs.

📅 May–August
🕖 Monday–Friday, Flexible hours. (Approximately 6:30/7 AM to 2 PM (early days = beat the heat))
💵 $17–$20/hr based on experience
🚗 Company vehicle provided for fieldwork

Perfect job for a college student home for the summer or anyone looking to work outside and learn more about agriculture.

👉 Must be able to walk furrows, jump ditches, and not be afraid of getting a little dirty. Ag background is a plus, but not required. Must have a driver’s license.

Happy National Ag Day, and thank you to ag pilots, farmers and all those involved in agriculture. This day recognizes and celebrates the abundance of food, fiber and bioenergy provided by American agriculture. An airplane or helicopter flying in a field near you means that you’ll soon have your shelves stocked with nutritious and safe food, or fiber for clothing, or power from bioenergy crops! NAAA wants to thank our ag pilots for helping farmers feed the world!

🌼 Protecting Pollinators: How We Do It 🌼

✅ Beehive Database & Driftwatch
-We maintain an extensive in-house beehive database, used to provide beekeepers with pre-notification of potentially harmful applications.
-We utilize Driftwatch.org and subscribe to notifications of new hive locations in our area.

✅ Consciousness Pest Management
-Selecting target-specific pesticides to minimize harm to beneficial insects (including organic and biopesticide products) when suitable.

✅ Early Morning Spraying
-We begin spraying early in the day to avoid interference with active pollinators’ foraging behavior.

At Olathe Spray Service, Inc., we strive for pollinator protection while ensuring effective pest control to our growers! 🐝💚
