Today, Ben Willis with Willis Electric LLC gave our BNI River Delta members a really interesting 10-Minute Executive Briefing!

Ben mixed education with a little friendly competition by putting us to the test with some electricity trivia. 🔌⚡

He asked some really great questions that had us thinking—and we learned some things about electricity along the way that many of us probably didn't know!

It was a great reminder that when someone truly knows their profession, they can make even a topic we use every day both interesting and fun to learn about.

Jeanne shared some really valuable information on topics including:

💜 Thank You, Emily Rorke!

Today, Emily Rorke with the Alzheimer’s Association gave our BNI River Delta members a very informative presentation about Alzheimer’s disease and the work being done to better understand and address it.

Emily shared information about several areas of ongoing research and helped us understand why continued research, education, care, and support are so important.

The need is very real here in Connecticut. The Alzheimer’s Association reports that approximately 76,800 Connecticut residents age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s. 💜

Emily also reminded us about the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 26. The Walk raises awareness and funds to support Alzheimer’s care, support, and research—and we’re proud that BNI River Delta has a team participating!

🚗 Thank You, Kyle Helmstetter!

Today, Kyle Helmstetter with Connecticut Casualty Co. shared some valuable information with our BNI River Delta members about auto liability insurance, car rentals, and choosing the right insurance coverage.

Kyle reminded us that before choosing an independent insurance agency, it's important to understand your own insurance needs, coverage priorities, and expectations for service.

He also shared several questions consumers should consider when evaluating an insurance agency, including whether they offer access to multiple insurance carriers, provide personalized guidance, have local expertise, and offer ongoing support.

Insurance is one of those things we often don't think about until we need it—so having the right coverage and understanding what you're paying for can make a big difference.

Today we had the opportunity to hear William Godwin of R.E. Godwin & Sons Plumbing present his 10-minute feature, and he shared some valuable information that every homeowner should know!

Today at BNI River Delta, we had the pleasure of hearing of Jan Blonder Design Essence present her Member Showcase.

Jan shared the wide range of interior design services she provides for both residential and commercial clients, demonstrating how thoughtful design can transform a space into one that is not only beautiful but also functional.

Whether she's helping homeowners reimagine a single room, coordinating a complete home renovation, or designing inviting and productive business environments, Jan works closely with her clients to create spaces that reflect their personality, lifestyle, and goals.
