Golden Triangle Leadership Collective:
I’ve studied CEOs and Executives to find the secret sauce that separates them from others. It’s all in the numbers. They are not super emotional but have enough empathy to make hard decisions. If you’re going to pivot, in these hard times, you must be willing to save yourself first. Look at what’s coming in and what’s going out. Can I reduce spending or do I need to get something part time so my family doesn’t suffer? Leaders are willing to downsize and rebuild later. It may sound harsh, but it’s true. To save your business, you can’t sit back and let life happen, you create opportunities within your grasp.

I’ve been working on my business plans and a pivot. Yes, even the best of us, sharpen our swords. There are so many economic indicators against the new execs that it can be daunting. I will advise myself while giving you some tidbits.
Take a look at your network, meet new people. Stop working and go to a show, golf tournament, or go to a festival in your city. Get from behind the desk and rekindle friendships. Find a true mentor and mentor someone much younger than you. Young professionals have a quicker path to success if you’re not threatened by their prowess. I’m pivoting to a podcast so keep watching!

Golden Triangle Leadership Collective: When you hit a slump in your position or company, pushing through it may not be the right approach. Pulling back, removing distractions and taking care of your personal health allows you to solve problems from a different perspective.

If you’re stuck, define a day and time window for working on the issue and don’t let it take over your entire day. Only give it energy for a small portion of your day or it will overwhelm you and you’re right back to square one. Remind yourself of your most successful moment, how you got there and know that it’s possible again. Lastly, take time to smell the roses and know they will blossom again for you.

One of my clients had personalized bespoke suits that defined their professional image, but this focus overshadowed their business endeavors. To refocus attention on their work's impact, I recommended shifting the emphasis from their attire to the value they brought. This strategic adjustment allowed their expertise to take center stage, resonated with a younger demographic, and fostered a more collaborative environment. Consequently, they successfully adapted and thrived.
Let's address your challenges together.
