GT Leadership Collective:
I’ve been working on my business plans and a pivot. Yes, even the best of us, sharpen our swords. There are so many economic indicators against the new execs that it can be daunting. I will advise myself while giving you some tidbits.
Take a look at your network, meet new people. Stop working and go to a show, golf tournament, or go to a festival in your city. Get from behind the desk and rekindle friendships. Find a true mentor and mentor someone much younger than you. Young professionals have a quicker path to success if you’re not threatened by their prowess. I’m pivoting to a podcast so keep watching!

Golden Triangle Leadership Collective: When you hit a slump in your position or company, pushing through it may not be the right approach. Pulling back, removing distractions and taking care of your personal health allows you to solve problems from a different perspective.

If you’re stuck, define a day and time window for working on the issue and don’t let it take over your entire day. Only give it energy for a small portion of your day or it will overwhelm you and you’re right back to square one. Remind yourself of your most successful moment, how you got there and know that it’s possible again. Lastly, take time to smell the roses and know they will blossom again for you.
