As part of my self-reflection and spiritual enlightenment I developed this creed which I recite daily. Feel free to take it, modify it and use it as your own:
I alone dictate what I allow to affect me. I am responsible for my own feelings and nobody else. I choose to reject the negative and embrace only the positive. I choose to purge myself of all negative feelings and energy and project only positive feelings and energy. I have faith that the universe will unfold as it will. I shall be a friend to those that come to me as such. I will be a warrior when needed. I will be the poet in the garden when the battle is over. I will walk the path presented with my head held high and without fear or trepidation because I alone am responsible for making my own way in this life and have faith that my good outweighs my bad thus amassing positive karmic currency to affect the outcome of anything that I encounter and confront.
