Jet Computer Support (JCS) Additional Information
We have created for several agencies, a very simple process using MS Word and Excel to create HIPAA 837 Claims, as well as a process for generating HIPAA 270 eligibility inquiry files and for importing the 271 eligibility response files from ProviderOne and/or MCOs. We also support many AAA and Health Homes with processing their HIPAA 834 eligibility roster/enrollees and 820/835 payments. You get the benefit of what we have developed for other agencies and only pay for the time to edit the process to use your agency information instead of theirs.
A data warehouse is another solution that can be ideal for some customers because it:
1. Is relatively easy to setup and maintain
2. Uses a common programming language (often MS SQL or MySQL) to run reports and add tables/data, so it is easier to find either an internal or an external user/programmer
3. Stores data in a clean and easily organized way
4. Allows reporting across multiple data sources such as electronic medical record (EMR), MCO/BHO, payroll, general ledger, and accounts receivable for costing as well as inpatient and jail data for recidivism
5. Provides clinical/audit access to data, as well as reporting across time periods from both the legacy and new system when agencies change software

We are often called in to assist with state Medicaid reviews of healthcare organizations, to develop and lead response to audit findings and develop successful corrective action plans.

When you factor in cost of salary plus benefits, minus vacation days, sick leave, mandatory training hours, etc., the cost of an employee is often more than if our team just bills for the hours it took to do the work.
