We worked on a beautiful Samsung front‑loading washing machine — part of a matching washer and dryer set the homeowner really loved.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer no longer makes the replacement part this model needed. For most companies, that would’ve been the end of the story… and the beginning of a very expensive shopping trip.

But because of experience — and a whole lot of time spent learning how these machines are built — we were able to replace the bearings directly and bring this washer back to life.

No replacement.
No breaking up a matching set.
Just honest repair work that keeps good appliances working the way they should.

If you’ve got a machine that’s making noise, shaking, or showing signs of wear, don’t count it out yet. There’s often more that can be done than people realize.

Every now and then, a fridge makes a noise that makes you stop and think — a soft buzzing, a quick click, or a sound you don’t remember hearing before. And it’s completely normal to wonder if something’s wrong.

Let’s take the worry out of it.

Most fridge noises fall into two categories:
the normal sounds of a hardworking appliance… and the sounds that mean it needs a little attention.
Here’s how to tell the difference.

Normal Sounds (Nothing to Stress About)
• A gentle hum or buzz
That’s usually the compressor running or the fan moving air through the fridge.

• A single click
This can be the thermostat turning on or off — totally normal.

• Soft pops or crackles
Plastic parts expand and contract as temperatures change.

These sounds may be new to you, but they’re often just your fridge doing its job.

Not‑So‑Normal Sounds (Worth a Quick Check)
• A loud, persistent buzzing
This can mean the fan is working harder than it should — often from dusty coils or restricted airflow.

• Repeated clicking
If it clicks over and over, the compressor may be struggling to start.

• A rattling or vibrating sound
Sometimes it’s something simple touching the back wall… but it can also be a loose component.

When to Call a Technician
If the noise is new, louder than usual, or happening constantly, it’s a good idea to have it checked. Catching the issue early protects your food, your fridge, and your peace of mind.

You don’t have to guess what the sound means — that’s what we’re here for.
We’ll take a look, explain what’s going on, and make sure everything is running safely.

We wanted to take a moment to share a really fun community event coming up next month — the All Kids Win Huff & Puff Relay!

📅 Saturday, June 27, 2026
📍 Huntamer Park | Lacey, WA

This is one of the most entertaining events of the summer. The Huff & Puff Relay brings together friends, families, coworkers, and community groups for a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and giving back.

Teams race through a relay course wearing oversized inflatable outfits — which means lots of wobbling, lots of cheering, and plenty of unforgettable moments. Whether you’re running, watching, or supporting a team, the whole event is built around community and helping local kids.

All proceeds support All Kids Win, a local nonprofit that provides weekend food bags to students across Thurston County and helps fund the All Kids Win Scholarship Program.

Teams can compete for fun prizes like:
• Best Team Costume
• Top Fundraising Team
• Bragging Rights (the most important prize of all)

After registering, each team gets a personal fundraising page and QR code to make gathering support easy.

And here’s a big one —
🏈 The top fundraising team wins four tickets to a Seattle Seahawks home game this season.

If you’re looking for a way to get involved, give back, and have a blast doing it, this is the perfect event. Grab your teammates, get creative with costumes, and join in for a day of fun, community, and impact.

Every dollar raised helps make sure more students in our community have the support they need to succeed.

Does your dryer take two full cycles to get your clothes dry?
Or does it feel like it’s taking way longer than it should?

If so, your dryer is trying to tell you something — and it’s usually something simple.

Here are a few common reasons this happens:

• Lint buildup in the vent
Even a partial blockage can slow airflow and make drying times double.

• A clogged internal lint trap
Not the one you clean after each load — the deeper one most people never see.

• A weak heating element
When the element starts to fade, the dryer still runs… it just doesn’t dry well.

• Poor airflow behind the dryer
If the vent hose is crushed or kinked, the dryer can’t breathe.

The good news?
You don’t have to guess — and you don’t have to live with long dry times.
We can diagnose the issue quickly and get your dryer running the way it should again.

If your laundry is taking forever, we’re here to help.

Why Your Dishwasher Isn’t Cleaning Like It Used To

It happens slowly at first — a few spots on the glasses, a plate that doesn’t look quite as clean, silverware that feels a little cloudy. Most homeowners chalk it up to “maybe I loaded it wrong,” and move on.

But when your dishwasher stops cleaning the way it used to, it’s usually your appliance’s way of saying, “Hey… something needs attention.”

At Diamond Star Appliance Repair, we’ve spent over 17 years helping families figure out why their dishwasher suddenly isn’t pulling its weight. And the good news is this: most of the time, the cause is simple — and fixable.

Here are a few of the most common reasons dishwashers start to struggle:

• Clogged spray arms
Mineral buildup or food particles can block the tiny holes that spray water. When that happens, dishes never get the full wash they need.

• A hidden, overloaded filter
Dishwasher filters catch everything — seeds, pasta, grease, debris. When they’re full, water can’t circulate the way it should.

• Low water temperature
If the water entering your dishwasher isn’t hot enough, detergent won’t dissolve properly and cleaning power drops fast.

• Weak circulation or worn components
Over time, pumps and motors lose strength. It’s subtle at first… until it isn’t.

You don’t have to guess what’s going on — and you definitely don’t have to live with a dishwasher that leaves you doing the work twice. We’re here to guide you, diagnose the real issue, and get your kitchen running smoothly again.

Because when your dishwasher works the way it should, your whole home feels a little easier.

When you bring home a new appliance, the last thing you’re thinking about is the warranty paperwork. You just want it installed, working, and ready to make life easier.

But here’s something most homeowners don’t realize:
many manufacturers require professional installation for the warranty to stay valid.
Dishwashers, refrigerators, gas ranges — they all come with fine print that can make or break your coverage.

And we say this gently, because we’ve seen it happen too many times:
a small installation mistake can void a warranty long before the appliance ever has a chance to fail.
We don’t want that for you.

At Diamond Star Appliance Repair, we’ve spent over 17 years helping homeowners avoid those headaches. We know the safety standards, the manufacturer requirements, and the little details that protect your investment from day one.

When we install an appliance, we make sure:
• Every connection is secure
• Gas, water, and electrical lines meet code
• Ventilation and airflow are correct
• The appliance is tested and documented properly

And most importantly — your warranty stays intact.

Because you deserve to feel confident that if something goes wrong, you’re covered… not stuck with a repair bill because of a technicality.

Let us handle the installation so you can enjoy your new appliance with total peace of mind.

Some things around the house are easy to tackle on your own… but then there are the repairs that look simple until you’re halfway in and wishing you hadn’t started.
And we say this with all the care in the world:
we don’t want to see you — or your appliance — get hurt.

At Diamond Star Appliance Repair, we’ve spent over 17 years helping homeowners stay safe and avoid the kind of repairs that can turn risky fast. Our goal isn’t to scare you — it’s to guide you toward the safest path.

Here are three appliance repairs that are always better left to a trained technician:
1. Gas Connections
Gas ranges and dryers need precise, leak‑free hookups. Even a tiny mistake can create a dangerous situation. We’d never want you to take that risk.
2. Electrical Components
Behind the panels are high‑voltage parts, delicate wiring, and safety switches that protect your home. One wrong move can damage the appliance or cause injury — and we’d rather keep you far from that possibility.
3. Sealed Refrigeration Systems
Refrigerators and freezers use sealed systems that require special tools and certification. Opening them without training can lead to refrigerant leaks or a ruined compressor. We’ve seen too many good appliances lost this way.

You deserve to feel safe and supported in your own home. Let us handle the repairs that shouldn’t fall on your shoulders. We’re here to protect you, protect your appliances, and keep everything running the way it should.
