Writer’s block? What writer’s block???
Y’all. Have you met my YouBots yet???
If not, you’re in for a treat.
The YouBot is an AI-powered personal assistant designed to streamline content creation and marketing efforts, and they’re gonna change the way you create content forever. I've spent the past two weeks immersing myself in the development and refinement of YouBots, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable.
🤖 The Birth of BriarBot
The idea for YouBots was simply a personal need. Despite the fact that I literally get paid to do this for other people, I often find myself struggling with my own creation process due to perfectionist tendencies and self-editing. I needed a tool that could help me overcome these hurdles and streamline my process.
The goal was to train an AI on my own work, enabling it to deliver content in my voice and style.
What started as a personal project quickly gained traction.
When I mentioned the concept to colleagues and clients, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Many wanted their own YouBot, and before I knew it, we had nearly ten YouBots designed for various individuals and businesses.

While I will always be platform agnostic, and YouBots can be built on various platforms, my current recommendation is Claude’s Sonnet model. Currently, Claude provides the best response outputs, which is crucial for our goal of generating high-quality rough drafts that require minimal editing.
The best YouBots have a pretty significant dataset, with at least 30% of the knowledge base built from your existing content.
🤖 Optimizing YouBot Performance
When setting up your YouBot, it's crucial to give specific examples of marketing or sales content or creators that you like. This helps the AI understand your preferences and generate content that aligns with your style and goals.
I've also found that creating separate projects for different content outputs yields the best results.
For instance, you might have one project dedicated to LinkedIn content and another for Instagram. This specialization allows each YouBot to focus on the unique requirements and nuances of each platform.
And, as part of the creation process, we’ve asked both Claude and ChatGPT to provide valuable insights into refining your YouBot project.
They often suggest including elements such as testimonials, case studies, and specific content types to enhance the AI's understanding and output quality.
🤖 Challenges and Solutions
While YouBots have shown impressive capabilities across various content types, we've found that email writing presents a unique challenge. This is primarily due to the private nature of email communication, which means there's less publicly available data for the AI to learn from.
To overcome this hurdle, we've found two effective strategies:
1. Provide your YouBot with a detailed ideal client or customer avatar. This helps the AI understand the tone and content that would resonate with your target audience.
2. Train your YouBot using emails you've already written. This gives the AI a better understanding of your email communication style and preferences.
By implementing these strategies, we've seen significant improvements in the quality of email outputs from YouBots.

The results we've achieved with YouBots have been truly remarkable.
We've successfully created comprehensive marketing plans, engaging YouTube scripts, compelling podcast scripts, and much more. The versatility and quality of the content produced by YouBots have exceeded our initial expectations.
One of the key learnings from this process is that the more information and examples you provide to your YouBot, the better its outputs become. This underscores the importance of investing time in the initial setup and ongoing refinement of your YouBot.
