Kids Cruisin' Kitchen kicks off tomorrow, June 1st and runs until August 5th. This summertime mobile-feeding program provides hot, nutritious lunches — free of charge — to metro-area children at the places where they live and play, such as apartment complexes, libraries and parks. Our Salvation Army canteen trucks will stop at six locations five days a week (Monday-Friday) this season. Serving times will vary at each stop.

You can find a complete list of serving locations here: https://tinyurl.com/yrmuct3f

We are excited to announce the opening of our Youth and Family Needs Survey. We want to hear directly from Douglas County families. This is a critical step in developing the appropriate and needed youth and family programs in our community. We need your help publicizing and assisting families in completing the survey in order to capture what our families truly need in terms of programs and services. “Parenting has never been easy and parenting today seems to be more difficult than ever,” said Kim Hawekotte, Douglas County Deputy Administrator for Juvenile Services. “Douglas County and our community partners want to support our families in being the best they can be." The results of this survey will be used to guide the creation, implementation, and funding of programs and services in our community for many years.

You can find the survey at the link below:

Happy Wednesday my B.O.L.T. family!!! I know some of you have been waiting for the MAACH program to open back up for rental assistance. Well I am happy to announce that they have finally opened the site back up and are actively taking application for assistance. The application is a little bit different this time. You will need to upload documents(lease, bills, ID, ECT) so make sure you already have those on your computer or phone before starting the application or you will NOT be able to complete it and once you start it can NOT be restarted so it is very important to have all your documents ready to upload. If you have an questions or in need of help feel free to reach out to me via email. ([email protected])
