About China Plains
China Plains helps companies source products from China, and sell products into China.
Our name sees the open plains as a metaphor for the opportunities that abound in China for US businesses. It is our job to help them navigate the markets and suppliers of China. We are a small company, consisting of an office in Omaha, Ne and one in Dongguan, China. China Plains is currently experiencing rapid growth, and there is opportunity for full time positions and advancement within the company.

Job Description
Our customers often send us product files, that we need to send on to our factory partners and vice versa. In turn, factory partners will send pricing and product details, and from price quotes and invoices will need to be created for our customers. This communication management is one of the main functions of the job. Additional duties include searching for suppliers online using the criteria given by management.

This job will be a work from home position, although remote and in-person coordination meetings within the vicinity of Greater Omaha with the owner will be required at least weekly. Hours will be flexible, rather than fixed per day, and based upon the company’s project needs and employee needs, as we believe in a work-life balance. As we work with Chinese and US companies, some evening/weekend hours will be required. Access to own car will be needed.

Skills/Tools Needed:
-Laptop Computer
-Cell phone
-Experience working with company clients and factory suppliers
-Experience with Microsoft office, especially Word/Excel/PPT, and the equivalent
software in Google online docs and Apple Mac OS
-Ability/willingness to learn international transportation and manufacturing knowledge
-Chinese Mandarin language, written/reading

Skills/Tools Preferred:
-Experience with products and production processes, including: metal stamped parts,
CNC, plastic injection, electric cables, PCBas,
-Pricing
-International/domestic goods transportation: air/ocean/intermodal/truck/whse
-Knowledge of IM tools, including Slack & Wechat, and project management tools such as Same Page
