Today at the Nebraska State Arts Conference in Kearny we were awarded a BiTSy Award! What is that? According to the Nebraska Arts Council- in an email to Richard Harrison -

" A BiTSy Award?

Every other year, when we convene the Statewide Arts Conference, the Arts Council staff takes special pleasure in selecting individuals who make the arts and arts education happen ‘Behind The Scenes’ in Nebraska--hence the BiTSy Awards. The staff makes the selections because we see, on a daily basis, those individuals whose hard work makes such a difference, but may not get widely recognized -- This is our chance to make sure you know how much we appreciate your work with A Midsummer Mural ."

It was nice to be recognized! We try to fit that description and will continue to!!

The artists at Hotshops in Omaha had created hand blown globes as trophies for the 6 or 7 recipients of this award.
