Kelly and Parker recently headed to Chicago for Heckmann Financial’s Joint Work Summit.

It was a great trip filled with content, conversations, networking, and growth, and we were grateful to be part of it. We love getting the opportunity to spend time with the teams we work with, learn more about what they’re building, and find new ways to support their continued growth.

What makes an advisor dynamic?

After more than a decade of working with financial advisors and wealth management teams, Kelly has seen the difference between teams that keep moving forward and those that get stuck.

In this video, Kelly breaks down three types of advisors: dynamic, static, and declining. The difference often comes down to mindset, willingness to learn, having the right processes in place, and being willing to keep moving when growth requires change.

Kelly and Sarah recently headed to Fargo, North Dakota, for Northwestern Mutual – North Dakota’s Network Day. Kelly kicked off the day as a keynote speaker on the power of marketing, while Sarah led a breakout session focused on social media.

It was a great day of learning, collaboration, and spending time with a team we’ve had the opportunity to work alongside for years. We’re grateful for the relationships that come from doing this work and always enjoy getting to bring marketing conversations directly to the teams we serve.

It’s officially October, which means we’re bringing a little Halloween fun to marketing.
Throughout the month, we’ll be looking at common marketing practices and asking one simple question: Trick or Treat?

First up: posting on every social media platform.

TRICK. You don’t need to be on every platform just because it exists. For most financial firms, we recommend focusing on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, then building a consistent presence across those channels.

The goal isn’t to check every social media box. It’s to spend your time creating content that reaches the right people and supports your overall marketing strategy.

Myka cares so deeply about the people around her, from her clients to everyone on the EMG team. She brings so much kindness and creativity to everything she does, whether she’s coming up with a new content idea, finding a better way to improve our processes, or sharing yet another book recommendation we need to add to our list.

She was EMG’s very first employee, and we’re so grateful for everything she has brought to our team since day one.

Happy Birthday to our amazing UX/UI Designer, Becca Roy!

Becca is the person we can always count on, whether she’s making our websites look and work their best, answering our endless tech questions, or keeping the office plants alive. She’s hardworking, determined, and always willing to go above and beyond to help the team.

Beyond everything she brings to her work, Becca is such a kind, supportive, and thoughtful teammate. We’re so grateful to have her on the EMG team and hope she has the best birthday!

Kelly and Brian recently headed to New York for a few days. The trip was filled with marketing collaboration, meaningful conversations, and time with some incredible teams.

From working with Katherine Leschner and hosting an Abounds lunch to connecting with the New York recruiting team and catching the US Open, it was a trip full of great people and memorable experiences.

We’re grateful for the relationships that make these trips so valuable and always look forward to the next one!
