Another successful BisonHeartGroup Networking event.

Thank you, DowntownLacey Brown, for sharing your story and reminding us why this month’s theme, It Takes a Village, resonates with so many.

As Lacey shared, “None of us are the product of one decision. We are the product of thousands of moments, thousands of people, conversations, and opportunities.”

That message is a powerful reminder that this is about more than business. It’s about people. At the heart of our businesses, our communities, and our lives are relationships.

Check in on your people. Go beyond surface level conversations. Ask how you can help others grow. Leave people better than when you found them.

We were excited to welcome six new faces to the room this month. New connections bring new perspectives, new opportunities, and new stories and that’s what makes community stronger. Create opportunities for business growth.

Thank you to The Post Event Center for hosting us and creating a welcoming space for those connections to happen.

There is room for all of us. We all have a story. We all need a village.

As we begin June and look ahead to two networking events this month, we’re especially grateful for reviews like this.

Real Conversations. Every Conversation.

Another successful Connect & Inspire event by Authentica Group focused on communication, leadership, and accountability.

The reality, most challenges in leadership and relationships aren’t caused by lack of ability, they’re caused by avoided conversations.

Every conversation should move from problem to progress. That requires clarity, accountability, and the willingness to address things directly instead of letting it fester.

If we don’t communicate, things don’t disappear, they escalate. People can’t work through what they don’t know.

There was discussion around “ghosting” in business and relationships. We all know it.

STOP doing it. Silence doesn’t just create confusion, it costs opportunities, impacts business growth, and reflects on your reputation. A clear response, even if it’s “no” or “not right now,” preserves trust and respect.

At the center of it all, we are all human. Behind every title, business, nonprofit, and organization is a person navigating decisions, conversations, and responsibility.

Thank you to DeAnna and the panel for creating space for conversations that challenge how we lead and communicate.

Many grant opportunities are publicly available through foundations, government databases, online platforms, and nonprofit resource apps.

While grant writers and development professionals do important work, nonprofits should also know there are accessible tools available to begin exploring funding opportunities on their own.

For many organizations, every dollar matters. Knowing where to look and which opportunities align can make a real difference.

We are always open to connecting with grant writers, there are many professionals in this space doing incredible work, and collaboration is welcomed.
