Homeowners policies typically have separate “Other Structures” coverage for things like detached garages, sheds, fences, pools etc.
Same property. Different line on the policy. Because insurance enjoys categories. 😂

— that doesn’t automatically mean it’s overinsured.

Assessed Value, Market Value and Reconstruction Cost are three VERY different animals.
Your land doesn’t burn down, but rebuilding labor and materials definitely aren’t free!
