I’ve been sitting with these questions for the last few months. But on my most recent trip, they became even harder to ignore. I just haven’t quite known how to tell the story.
The places we’re drawn to aren’t by accident. And we forget that we’re capable of creating that same feeling in the places we experience every day, especially in our own homes.
I notice the room before I typically notice the people in it. The light. The materials. The way a chair is placed.
And yet somehow, turning that instinct into a business, a title, a career, a podcast, a “thing”... has felt much harder.
But when I travel and spend the trip photographing architecture, interiors, colors, old buildings, beautiful hospitality spaces… basically everything my brain naturally notices, I’m reminded that I don’t have to go looking for the right answer. It’s always there. I just have to pay attention.
I will never havs all the answers. But I do know what I want the life around my work to feel like: Creative. Curious. Beautiful. Connected. Spacious. Meaningful.
Traveling brings me back to my heart. To seeing and capturing what feels beautiful and alive in the moment.
And that’s what I’ve been needing. Not another perfectly packaged answer. Just a reminder that the part of me that sees all of this, is and always will know the answers with time.
