Advanced ceramics continue to push the boundaries of high-temperature and high-performance materials.

Through our integration of TA&T’s capabilities, we can further support development work across several advanced ceramic systems, including ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) such as SiC/SiC and other carbide-based materials.

These materials play an increasingly important role in demanding environments across aerospace, defense, and energy systems where extreme temperatures and mechanical performance are required.

Combining advanced materials science with additive manufacturing creates new opportunities to design and produce ceramic components that were previously difficult, or impossible, to manufacture.

Through our acquisition of TA&T last year, we added decades of experience in traditional ceramic processing and advanced materials engineering, including:

• Hot pressing up to 1650 °C
• Cold isostatic pressing up to 30,000 psi
• Controlled-atmosphere heat treatment up to 1700 °C
• Polymer infiltration and pyrolysis (PIP) for advanced ceramic systems

These capabilities are not legacy processes sitting alongside additive manufacturing—they are strategic complements to it.
