One of the biggest predictors of burnout is perfectionism.

The other is a lack of boundaries.

Unfortunately, that combination is also a really effective way to become successful… until it isn’t.

That’s something I talked about in my conversation for The Rockstar Mom Summit event with Megan Caldwell , which is live today.

A lot of high-achieving moms are carrying way more than people realize while telling themselves they just need to push through a little longer.

That strategy works. Until eventually it doesn’t.

For a lot of moms, Mother’s Day comes with a brief moment of feeling appreciated before everything just snaps right back into place.

Back to the nonstop mental checklist. Back to taking care of everyone else while trying not to completely burn yourself out in the process.

A lot of high-achieving moms keep telling themselves things will calm down soon.

Usually they don’t.

I’m joining 20+ speakers for The ROCKSTAR Mom virtual event hosted by Megan Caldwell to talk about what actually helps people get out of survival mode and start feeling like themselves again.

If you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or running on empty, this event was built for you.

Early in our careers we work nonstop, neglect our sleep schedule, say ‘yes’ to every ask, and call it ambition. But by our 30s and 40s, that approach starts to break down, especially as life outside of work grows.

Many of our clients reach a point where they feel they have to choose between success at work or peace at home. The truth is, that “either/or” mindset is often the start of burnout, not success.

If you feel forced to choose between work and life, book a free, 15 minute coaching call: www.FastFixCall.com

I was honored to take part in the At Ease USA annual fundraiser luncheon yesterday. We heard powerful stories from veterans living with PTSD and how At Ease has helped them rebuild their lives. This organization has been doing this work since 2010, and it continues to make a real difference every day.

I had the privilege of presenting the first annual Founder’s Award to Executive Director Beth Kramer, whose leadership and compassion are at the heart of this mission.

Proud to support the work At Ease USA is doing year round!

I am in Chicago for an All Blacks Rugby leadership event today, ahead of the All Blacks vs. Ireland match tomorrow at Soldier Field.

I met Sir Wayne Smith, a player and coach with two World Cup wins for both the men’s and women’s teams. He preached clarity in chaos and shared how he used to blast crowd noise during practice to prepare players for the pressure of World Cup matches.

I also connected with Sir John Kirwan, former All Blacks star, TV commentator, and founder of an AI-based mental health tech company.

And finally, I had the chance to meet with the one and only Richie McCaw.

We talked about leadership, resilience, and performing under pressure on and off the field.
Thank you to Sir Wayne Smith, Sir John Kirwan, Richie McCaw, and All Blacks Rugby for having me!

If you’re burned out, you’re definitely not alone. It’s everywhere. According to Gallup, 40% of the U.S. workforce reports feeling mostly or always burned out. Exhaustion, stress, and a sense of defeat have become the norm.

Even after the return to “normal” post-COVID, the numbers keep rising. This isn’t just about work. It’s about how we live.

If you need what really works for overcoming burnout, schedule a FREE 15 minute coaching call here: www.FastFixCall.com

Student Spotlight:
Daphne Cook stepped into a brand new leadership role building a startup-style division at her college. With constant demands and a pressure to get everything perfect, burnout quickly set in.

Through our Burnout Breakthrough course, she learned how to lead with vision instead of reacting to tasks. She started focusing on what actually mattered to her and stopped letting perfectionism hold her back.

Daphne shared that while she had used Chat GPT as a coaching tool before, nothing compared to having a real thought partner like Scott. Someone who could offer a human perspective, support her growth, and help her move forward with clarity.

Thank you for sharing your story, Daphne!
