My contacts within 5G say it is plagued by many challenges.

A higher density of repeaters, differing carriers walking all over each others signal. The higher frequency has difficulty penetrating dwellings.

Keep your landline stock. In fact. I recommend buying more.

In South Korea, the rollout has been plagued by bad reception and a lack of consumer apps. But it’s still early.

A couple of things to help everyone out during these times on your contracts.

Most contracts have a downturn clause that allows you to drop services without penalty if your business experiences a downturn of a certain % or greater.

Some contracts also have a force Majeure clause that relieves a party from fulfilling the terms of the agreement or contract.

Please keep in mind some carriers contract the business spend and each product ordered have their own terms. Others contract each service individually. Others have no terms on products. Just total spends. So when dealing with a carrier or provider it is important to understand your entire obligation and all the components contracted and or agreed to.

Stay healthy and safe during these times and protect your business.

Folks. If you own a Restaurant and have decided to do take out. 100% of your income relies on people being able to reach you and order. If you are relying on your phone. That means 99% of your orders will never get to you. Do the following to keep your customers happy and secure cashflow:

Get an online ordering system now.
Call your carrier and convert to SIP trunking now for analog lines. Each session (concurrent call path) cost around $5 plus a sip session is a third the cost of a standalone line. So for the same price as 1 you get 3.
You can put in a line of phones and have three or four or more just taking orders during peak times.

Do not let your customer or business suffer more than it needs to.

People ask what it is primarily that we do. We act as the primary point of contact for telecom carriers globally, handling things like contracts, pricing negotiations, escalation for carrier troubles. I am very good at finding new carriers to serve specific needs by geography and traffic type to allow expansion and improve problem areas. I maintain a solid relationship with carrier account teams, escalation managers, and VP level assets within most of the providers.

What makes me unique is I am agnostic to carriers, a lot of folks who do what I do are tied to a specific carrier by sales quotas. I am not. I do not sell for the carriers, I do not owe them anything.

My model guarantees autonomy and enables me to consult in my clients best interest.

For my first official post I wanted to share with everyone to date we have been involved in the Following Solutions:

Helped a regional Bank with 7 locations with internet from 5 different providers and no consistent redundancy and in various levels of term commitments.

3 local telephone companies with a decentralized aging phone system from 3 separate vendors at end of life.

A fractured hard to manage network policy that was inhibiting the ability to grow their business and implement new technology solutions necessary to drive their growth.

From a strategy consultation we were able to develop a path to Hosted VoIp and Managed SDWAN. These two simple solutions Solved for several challenges, simplified operations and maximized any investment into network communications, cutting costs, driving down help desk utilization and strengthening their redundancy and security policy at the same time.

We also recently helped another large regional Retail Company get away from a flawed Hosted VoIP migration from their current carrier.

Through our ability to understand the terms and conditions of their contract we were successful in helping them move the Hosted VoIpP contract to another carrier with no termination liability.

We also successfully helped them secure milestones on an stalled Ethernet migration. Successfully engaging Sr. Management at a large carrier.

Dealing with a carrier can be complicated, there is no book on how to do this. You need the right solutions and should not have to find them on your own. Let us do the heavy lifting, from request on pricing and design engineering to final selection. We can manage final bill reviews, credits and even ongoing customer care.
