This is the season when new wildlife is born. Do not seal off entrances/exits completely so that mother animals are permanently separated from their young as this will lead to additional issues. Call 607-434-7813 for more details.

FYI- It is not unusual for nocturnal wildlife to be out during the day at this time of year looking for food for their young or shelter. Be careful of these animals as they may be protective of their offspring.

ALL WILDLIFE has a potential to carry various diseases that are zoonotic including rabies. Sometimes rabid animals do not exhibit signs of disease.

Any contact with a wild animal should be reported to your local health department. If you awake in a room with a bat, or have a small child or disabled person under you care in the house and a bat is found, you must call your local health department.
