Founded in 1980, Accurate Energetic Systems, LLC (AES) is dedicated to the development, manufacture, handling and storage of a wide range of energetic products for the military, aerospace and commercial markets. aintains an ISO 9001:2008 certified Quality Management System addressing all contracting, engineering, production, environmental, safety, occupational health, quality and security activities. Our facility complies with the Security requirements of DOD 5100.76-M, Appendix 2 and the safety requirements of DOD 4145.26-M. The AES facility consists of 1,300 acres in Bucksnort, TN, fifty miles west of Nashville on Interstate 40. The production facility consists of five purpose built production buildings and a quality lab for product evaluation and analysis. All manufacturing facilities are environmentally controlled. AES provides commercial and government customers manufacturing and storage capabilities for a wide range of energetic products. Our core areas of expertise include:

On Monday, January 19, AES will conduct a single explosive test shot at approximately 2:00 p.m, with more test shots being conducted at regular intervals on Tuesday, January 20. These are routine test shots that we want to make our community aware of, and as always, safety is our top priority.

Our team at Accurate Energetic Systems remains in mourning following the tragic explosion and loss of 16 beloved colleagues on October 10.

We are incredibly grateful and overwhelmed by the thousands of sympathies, prayers and offers of support you have sent. Our top priority is to support our team, their families and our community as we grieve together.

Working with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, we have established the AES Families Support Fund to offer direct support for employees and families of those who lost their lives. Funds will be distributed through trusted nonprofit and faith-based organizations to help meet immediate needs, such as funeral expenses, medical care, housing and food assistance. Contributions will also be used to offer long-term support, such as counseling services.

At approximately 7:45am this morning, there was a tragic accident at our facility. Emergency response teams and investigative agencies remain on scene, and the situation is under active investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, coworkers, and community members affected by this incident. We extend our gratitude to all first responders who continue to work tirelessly under difficult conditions.

We will provide updates as more verified information becomes available.
