It took Steve & I years to become homeowners and when we heard the phrase many of my clients hear, “we have officially closed escrow”, it was a feeling of achievement that transpired.

Homeownership also brings a feeling of safety. Knowing this is our house, a secure place for our family. We won’t get a call from a landlord to say we are being evicted. 😧

🤔 Here’s a story I’d like to call, how I pivot compared to other Realtors:

Listing a Home that is occupied by tenants can come with challenges & in this case, the tenants were semi-cooperative with me.

After a couple of weeks of negotiating with the tenants to allow showing appointments, we agreed to one hour on a Thursday. With multiple showing requests, I had to think outside the box how to present this mid-week, 10-min each showing, within a one-hour window to all the buyer’s agents. A lot of times, Agents will say their client isn’t available around the recommended time & they give up to show the home, so I mentioned to all to record or FaceTime with the client if they are not available in-person.

6 Agents followed this advice & toured the home, I received multiple offers & the seller accepted one that is above the listed price.

One thing I’m good at is pivoting, and that’s exactly what we need to do as Realtors, especially in this current market.
