PRE-heat was at the ribbon cutting ceremony at Fresh Meals On Wheels of Sheboygan County, Inc. yesterday for their new Willow Creek Preserve Overlook.

We are honored to support an organization that has been making a difference in our community since 1970, providing home-delivered meals, wellness checks, and meaningful social connections for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and homebound residents throughout Sheboygan County.

Congratulations to the entire Fresh Meals On Wheels team on this exciting addition and for the incredible impact you continue to make every day.

Today, PRE-Heat is proud to celebrate our annual employee cookout and recognize a remarkable milestone 40 years of serving our customers and communities.

A Day on the Floor in Oostburg, Wisconsin

Most customers never see the inside of our shop. They see a heat exchanger arrive, install, and perform. What they don’t see is everything that happens before it leaves Oostburg.

We’re a small, family-owned operation on the Wisconsin lakeshore, building the right heat exchanger for the exact process and building it well.

It Starts Before the First Cut
Every unit starts with a conversation.
Not a catalog selection but a discussion around:

- Inlet temperatures
- Airflow volumes
- Contaminant loads
- Pressure drop tolerance
- Material compatibility

That information drives everything: material selection, tube design, expansion, and layout. By the time fabrication begins, the performance life of that unit is already determined.

That’s the difference between a catalog unit and a built-to-process solution.

On the Shop Floor

Material Prep
Every job is staged and verified before fabrication begins. No production line each unit is built to its own spec.

Shell & Tube Fabrication
Precision work. Tubes are cut, rolled, expanded or welded based on application. Shells are formed and fit for proper alignment and strength.
We also fabricate dimple plates, adding another efficient heat transfer solution for applications requiring compact, high-performance thermal control.

Fit-Up & Welding
This is where experience matters. Alignment, roundness, nozzle placement small details that impact long-term performance.

Testing & Inspection
Every unit is hydrostatically pressure tested before it ships. Critical welds are dye penetrant tested to catch imperfections early before they become problems in the field.

Shipping & Delivery
Getting the build right is only part of the job making sure it arrives that way matters just as much.

- Carefully packaged for transport
- Coordinated freight for small components to large assemblies
- Domestic and international shipping support
- Handling for oversized or specialized loads

Every unit leaves our shop prepared to arrive safely and ready to perform.

For many years, PRE‑heat has proudly supported Sheboygan's Fresh Meals On Wheels by providing custom fabrication pieces.

These pieces are featured in their June-A-Palooza event on June 27 from 4-9:30 at Christopher Farm & Garden

This is something we’ve never talked about much, but it matters to us.

Fresh Meals On Wheels plays a vital role in our local community, helping ensure neighbors receive nutritious meals and human connection.

We’re grateful that our team’s skills and hands‑on manufacturing capabilities can quietly support that mission behind the scenes.

Giving back where we live and work has always been part of who we are.

Most Wisconsin manufacturers have looked at heat recovery at least once.

Most of them didn't move forward.

Not because the system wouldn't work. Because the economics never got strong enough to justify it.

That's the gap we've spent years watching projects fall into and it's the gap we can now help close.

PRE-heat is officially an approved Trade Ally with Focus on Energy.

This changes what we bring to a project.

Before, we could design a system that technically worked. Now we can help make sure the project is aligned for incentives from day one so the numbers that matter to your finance team actually add up.

What that looks like in practice:

Incentive eligibility gets built into the design phase, not bolted on after. Projects that would have stalled at the approval stage move forward. Payback periods that were marginal become compelling.

The projects that make it through aren't always the ones with the best technical design.

They're the ones where someone connected the dots early enough between the energy opportunity, the available incentives, and the internal approval process.

We can now be that connection for Wisconsin manufacturers.

This applies to new construction, facility expansions, and retrofit projects.
