Dads. 🩵 You are so important in the lives of your children. Your role might look and feel different in the first year of their life than moms, but make no mistake- you are irreplaceable.

Expecting to be able to have your doula +your partner with you in triage only to find out there is a “one support person rule” can be disruptive to your flow during labor. Ask about your chosen hospitals triage policy while on your hospital tour so you aren’t caught off guard and your partner can be prepared to offer solo support for a period of time.

Hey did you know you’re not a bad mom if playing pretend for hours is not something you enjoy? 💕

I learned that about myself pretty early on, so I try to balance it out with other ways to play 🥳

This is a $5 jumbo pencil from NYX and we had so much fun playing and drawing all over our faces with it!! Play doesn’t have to cost tons of money or be aesthetically pleasing. Just show up for your kids. I promise they don’t care about the rest. They just want you ☀️

This isn’t just a “job” for me. It means so much to support moms in this way, to provide a tiny piece of community and validation to their tender brand new motherhood moments. 💕

Make sure to supervise this activity if you use smaller items like beans because we don’t want any choking ✔️ You can use any items you like though!!

Just because it’s there, doesn’t mean you can use it. The hospital has certain policies surrounding hydrotherapy (the use of water to manage the sensations of labor). Make sure you get educated on what they are at the hospital you’ve chosen.
