The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Paul Bame, Owner, House Doctors of Orange Park.

I am originally from Arizona, my wife and I met in the Navy during training as Corpsman, we have our 20th year anniversery in June of this year 2026. We have two beautiful daughters, my family is my life, and my oldest does horse back riding, my youngest does gymnastics. My family, relaxing, and joking with friends are my hobbies. As much as my wife and I work I enjoy just stopping from time to time.

Running a business is one of the hardest, roller coaster rides I have ever been involved with in my life. I would not change it for the world. I love helping people fix problems with their house. Seeing the smiles after something is fixed and off their plate is awesome.

I am relatively new to the Clay County Chamber of Commerce life, I am naturally very reserved personality, and there is a lot of upbeat people that crack me up during the Finally Friday meetings. The more I get to know everyone the more comfortable I am becoming and just meeting all the other small businesses going through similar business hurtles is great. It helps me to know that the ups and downs with small business understood by others.

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Joanne Dufton, Owner, Sharp Brain for Life.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I moved to Florida in 1983. My husband died in 2010. I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren who live near me. I enjoy spending time with dear friends and I love learning new things that fascinate me.

I watched my father die due to complications of memory loss. I wondered if that was my destiny. Would it happen to my brothers and sisters? Would it happen to my children? I studied the research, attended classes, and learned that memory loss is preventable!! I believe everyone needs to know this information!
I am a public speaker and I teach the lifestyle habits to prevent memory loss. I want everyone to know that memory loss is not "normal".

I love the support that I receive from the Chamber.

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Shane Jordan, Loan Advisor, Next Wave Mortgage.

I’m a mortgage loan originator licensed in Florida and Georgia. I love helping people navigate homeownership in a way that feels a little less intimidating and a lot more human. I’m a husband, father, and a big believer that relationships matter more than transactions. I’m a lifelong North Florida native, born in Jacksonville, but I’ve lived in Clay County for the last 20 years. I love being part of a community where people genuinely support one another and local businesses. Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with my family, gaming, at a networking event with other local professionals, or trying to find new ways to make mortgages a little less boring and a little more relatable. I’m also a big fan of community events and connecting with people from all different industries, not just real estate.

I’m passionate about what I do because buying a home is one of the biggest and most emotional milestones in someone’s life and it’s rewarding to be a small part of that journey. A lot of people come into the process feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or convinced they’ll never qualify and I love turning that confusion into a clear path forward. I was in another industry for 24 years prior to becoming a loan originator and I didn’t feel like I was really making an impact on people. After speaking to friends in the industry and seeing how passionate they were, I made the decision to change careers and haven’t looked back. The most rewarding part of what I do is seeing someone go from “I didn’t think this was possible” to getting keys to their home. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a veteran, or someone rebuilding after a tough financial situation, being part of that journey is something I never take lightly.

I love being a member of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce because it truly community-driven. It’s more than just networking, it’s a group of local professionals and business owners who genuinely want to support one another and help the community grow. It didn’t take long for me to decide to join… I went to one event, was invited the next day to another event, and joined the following week. It was an easy decision. As someone in the mortgage industry, relationships are everything, and the chamber has given me the opportunity to connect with incredible people from all different industries, learn from them, and find ways we can support each other’s businesses.

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Drake Faircloth, Owner, Lance Maxwell Plumbing

I lived in Tallahassee and moved to Jacksonville when I was 12, we lived in the Fleming Island area and I went to Clay High School, I moved back to Tallahassee when I was a 18, then back to Jacksonville 15 years ago and started my company. I enjoy fishing hunting, racing and occasionally golf.

Why I'm passionate about what I do? I was always very mechanical growing up and enjoyed working with my hands. That’s probably why I stayed in the service part of Plumbing most of my career. I enjoy figuring it out why somethings not working and solving the problem.

Why do I love the Chamber?? It’s a great bunch of people. Love the mix of businesses there, it’s fun too have conversations with random chamber people and figure out where they’re from and why they do what they do.
