The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Andrew Bornemann, Owner/Contractor, Baile Remodeling.

I was born and raised right here in Clay County, graduated from the University of Florida, and spent more than 20 years as a geotechnical engineer on projects ranging from homes to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. We recently moved back to the area, and it has been great sharing my hometown with my family. Lately my son and I have gotten into RC airplanes and watching him learn how they fly has been a lot of fun for both of us.

I’ve always enjoyed solving problems, and throughout my engineering career I focused on getting the technical details right. Over time, I found myself wanting to work more directly with the people I was serving, where I could see the quality of the work through from start to finish. Starting Baile Remodeling gave me that. Now I bring an engineer’s eye for detail to every home I work on, and I walk homeowners through each step so there are no surprises. What makes it rewarding is seeing someone fall in love again with their home.

As a small business owner, I’ve found the Chamber to be a great way to connect with other owners who care about this community. It’s encouraging to see how many people here are focused on helping each other and Clay County succeed.

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Krista Candlish, Multimedia Sales Representative, Clay Today Newspaper.

Originally from Tampa Bay area. Native to Florida. Married to my husband, Kevin for 12 years. We have four children and five grandchildren together. Interest outside of work is singing including with my church praise team, painting, artwork, reading, and spending time with my family. We have a dog named Ripley, who is a prima donna Chihuahua.

I feel passionate about what I do because of having a marketing background and understanding how important it is for your business plan. I have lost a business in the past and my heart goes out to people that are trying to provide for their families and not being able to take advantage of the things that help them grow. I don’t feel like I’m selling ad space. I feel like I am consulting people on a business level and helping with their business plan to grow and thrive.

What I love about the chamber is how warm and inviting they are. I love being a part of something bigger and knowing how professionals get together and strive to build a community for people to thrive. As an ambassador, and being new to the Clay County area, it’s my goal to weave myself into the community so that I am not an outsider, but part of the growing thriving community.

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce Florida would like to recognize one of our Finally Friday members. Meet Andre West, Life Insurance Strategist, AWest Financial.

I'm originally from detroit, and Automotive engineer. And I love cars! I also love the Confluence of finances and health and for me it's all about health and fitness and maintaining our money and maintaining our health. I'm also a volunteer in the Swahili speaking community and my wife and I have been doing volunteer work for over 30 years and we came to Jacksonville because there's a big Swahili speaking Community here and we also came to Florida because of our in-laws being 92 at this time! I love talking about money and using that tool just as it truly is, a tool that can help you to live your dreams! I love having conversations and having fun and getting it done!

I'm truly passionate about it because it has impacted my life and the lives of my family. One of my family members that I've been working with for the past 26 years has retired early and he absolutely loves that I was able to help him to get out of that work about 10 years early! And now he lives down it in Florida from Michigan and he couldn't be any happier! I became devolved because I wanted to have a job where I could live anywhere and still do the job. And it is quite lucrative and I can have an impact on someone now and into the next Generations of their family! I absolutely love it when a person asked me if I can help them to live their dreams and then I deliver on that promise.

I love being a chamber member because of the camaraderie and the fun that we have. And people are making money and that's where we want to be! We want to be around people who are making money and having fun doing it.
