Sarah is a formally trained photographer with a Bachelors in Fine Art, with a specialization in Photography & Digital Imaging, as well as an Associates in Fine Art with a concentration in darkroom wet process photography. Design principals of line and shape play a large role into her framing and positioning. Spending years assisting photographers in the NYC and CT editorial world, she has

mentoring with some of the heavy hitters in the market. Sarah's creativity expands beyond photography as she is a full time Assistant Director of Web and Social Media at Choate Rosemary Hall, and also enjoy freelance design work. Her passion is in newborn and children photography, but always enjoys shooting in the obscure of locations.

Sometimes family photoshoots aren't always smiles and giggles! Little Ella had enough of posing.

I often get parents who are apologizing for their children crying or not cooperating- I always respond saying, "Don't Worry, THEY'RE KIDS!" It's a roller coaster of emotions. Patience is the most important quality for a photographer. The best family shoots take time- the children have to feel comfortable in order to open up and get those smiles out! (even when they are your niece and nephew, outtakes are to be expected) :)

Newborn photoshoots are always such an amazing experience. For myself and the family!
