We call this property Feline Overhaul due to the many cat figurines and other various animal trinkets throughout.
Initially we were brought in as Property Managers to watch over the home while it was vacant and to take care of various issues while getting this home ready for sale.
When we did our initial walk through, we noticed many areas of debris built up in the gutters. We called CT Gutters and had them come out and remove debris and clean all the gutters.
We started decluttering this home by first removing clothing, bedding, and towels to bring to donation centers.
We then photographed the entire estate for family members who were unable to fly in to see which items they would like to keep.
Once we established what was being kept and what needed to be sold, we then called in Joe Panarese and his team at Clearing House Estate Sales to come in and perform an auction on the other various items the family members wished to sell.
While all this was going on the belongings being kept needed to be sent to the respective family members. The 2 family members lived on opposite sides of the country. We rented 2 PODS, and our team wrapped, packaged, and secured the belongings into each POD. Once loaded, the PODS were locked, loaded on to trucks, and shipped. Each family member was over-nighted a package with keys for the locks, as well as a prepaid package to send us back our straps, locks, and key. All at no additional cost to them.
Once auction was complete, RHPLLC did the final junk removal of everything left. Even after auction and family members taking items, we still filled dumpsters with 40 yards worth of junk.
Per the real estate agents request we needed to remove the carpet throughout the home. We worked with All Star Flooring to remove carpet, padding, and remove the staples and tack boards.
Once completed, the real estate agent had their team come paint and stage. This home was then ready to go to market.
We are happy to say the home has since sold and another project is complete. We are super proud of our team and how hard they worked, making this difficult time in a family’s life of discarding memories and selling their childhood home and while being in other states easy and as pain free as possible. It is our goal to manage so they could relax and deal with the grieving process.
